When we first moved to Arizona, La Parilla Suiza was one of the first restaurants suggested for us to try.  Ever since, we still go there once in awhile.  I live a bit further from Phoenix now, so it's harder to get down there, but every once in awhile we go out of our way to eat there.  The staff... review »

There is a location near my dh's work, so we have tried this place several times. Each time I am disappointed with their food, service, and overall cleanliness. It's also helpful if the servers spoke the same language as their customers. Dispite their low prices and coupons we don't plan on ever going... review »

I have always loved La Parilla Suiza. It is very different from the typical "Mexican" food that most Americans know. This is the real deal like you would find in the heart of Mexico. They even have Nopales. I have really enjoyed everything that I have tried but my favorites are chillaquiles - tortilla chips with a bit of sour cream, lots of red sauce and cojito cheese then baked, They also offer this dish with chicken in it, I also love the chorizo and cheese although I can't even imagine (and don't want to) what the fat content is in this dish. My kids love the taquitos and they even have chicken...

La Parilla Suiza was the best restaurant find I've made. This is not your corner taco hut-type, Sonoran mexican food restaurant. This is MEXICO CITY-style mexican food. All the meats are grilled before they go in your...enchilada, taco, etc...

The charro beans are my husbands favorite beans, being a "soupish", whole bean in wonderful juices, with lots of onion...My favorite place in the world to order chilaquiles, as they are simple and delicious...not sloppy with lots of extra ingredients...tortillas, sauce and cheese...BRILLIANT!

You can order a table grill of meat (I love the beef) that has...

La Parrila Suiza is probably not for everyone.  It is Mexico City style food and is quite tasty.  This is not your everyday fast food place.

I love the Parrila style plates that you can order with a good variety of grilled meats and vegetables.  The hand made tortillas are heavenly.

The atmosphere is excellent, but you should go with plenty of time to sit down and relax while your food is served.

I enjoy trying out new dishes and La Parrilla has a good variety of different dishes and the  atmoshepere is very nice and the food is great. The musicians they sometimes have on the weekends play great music and the waiters are very pleasant and friendly also very attentive. The meals are always warm and the right temperature and the portions are just right.

Unique Mexico City food.  Not your typical Tex-mex or California styles.  Great grilled meats, handmade tortillas, great salsas, sauces and cheeses!  Love their avacado salsa!  Our daughter goes out of state to school and this is the first place we have to go when she comes home.  Service is sometimes a little slow, but the food is GREAT!

We just love this restaurant.  The price is reasonable for the food/service quality.  Try it!
