One to Avoid

2

Normally I love most LUSH soaps but this Summer Pudding Soap was just so foul! It is supposed to be a combination of ground almonds, almond oil, and lemon oil which is supposed to exfoliate and hydrate. It smelled nice, but that was about it. Unlike their other soaps this has a giant gobs of who knows what floating in the creamy almond oil/ground almond base. That would be fine, except for the fact that the big globby things fall off and leave holes in the almond base which destroys the structural integrity of the base making it difficult to use. I mean, it's no fun to rub a bar of soap over your skin when half of it is missing. I have to say that it did exfoliate nicely the first time that I used it, but after that it became increasingly difficult to use because of missing parts and so I had to move it to the kitchen to be used as hand soap there for the remainder of its short time in my home. I was genuinely disappointed by this soap and cannot recommend it.

LUSH Summer Pudding soap - more like Sucky pudding.

OK so this LUSH product is the one I'm most disappointed in as far as new products go.  When I heard about and saw **LUSH Summer Pudding Soap** in my local LUSH shop I had to give it a try. It looked so good, smelled really good, and I'm all over anything cherry flavored or, in this case, cherry scented. **LUSH **describes their new **Summer Pudding soap **as: *a scrumptious English tradition with scrubby bits of ground almonds and deep cleansing juniper berry oil to soften and smooth rough skin. * It's scented with *delicious 'berried treasure' fragrance, bursting with notes of fruity buchu and zesty lemon oils. * As I mentioned earlier, it smelled great in the store but once I got it home and in the tub with me, it turned into a disaster.  Summer Pudding soap started off nicely. I ran it under water briefly to create some lather and then rubbed it directly onto my skin.  The exfoliation from the ground almonds was nice, but also felt a bit weird and mooshy at the same time. Then the top of the bar which is the pink half with cherries completely separated from the bottom half which contained the majority of the almond stuff.  So I was left with basically two bars of soap - the scrubby bar and the fruity bar. Disappointing. In addition to the disappointing split comes the disappointing scent. When this soap is being used under water it loses the nice fruity, cherry scent and smells more medicinal and just blah.  I really hate the scent.  What's worse is that the soap is loaded with cherries. Real cherries that do nothing except fill up space where something useful, like actual soap, could be.  If I could eat the cherries, fine, but these cherries just take up space and cost me money and I don't like that. Avoid this one! Effectiveness Bar split apart so the soapy half is now separate from the scrubby half. Scent Smells good when dry but like medicine when wet. Yuck.
