Holiday Delight!

5

I am simply in love with all of LUSH's soaps and their handmade, all natural products in general. This is no exception. I received this as part of a holiday gift box a couple years ago and it has become my all time favorite holiday soap. It has a lovely, sweet vanilla/almond candy smell which is just amazing for the holidays. It also lathers up beautifully and moisturizes like nothing else. You don't need a separate moisturizer after using this, and you really wouldn't want to use one as it would interfere with the fabulous smell that lingers on your skin long after you use it and has you sniffing your arm throughout the day! Because this soap is so moisturizing it is on the softer side so it is absolutely essential to keep it completely dry in between uses. I use a little metal mesh dish that is supposed to be for kitchen sponges. It allows air all the way around the soap and keeps it completely dry and helps it to last longer. You absolutely cannot allow this to sit in even a tiny bit of water in a solid soap dish or you will come back to a gummy soap soup (which is still useable, but not as cool). I am so glad I was introduced to this soap and look forward to using it every single year. It's become my go to soap for the season and I hope they continue to carry it for years to come!

I **LOVED** this soap! I received it in a gift box during the holidays and was so happy that I had to run out and stock up on it. It's similar to Alkaamar, but smells a little more holiday-ish and lasts longer. It lathers REALLY well and lasts for a long time. It gets you feeling really clean after your shower, which is of course a great thing! The scent is subtle. The soap rinses off well, so it's not one that will stick to your skin and leave you feeling dried out. I wish that it wasn't offered only during the holiday season because I always wait for it to come back! The soap is super plain looking since it is only a piece of white. The soap is made of all natural products and is handmade which is great to know! I stocked up on a few bars and they don't dry out when you leave them around. Everything they sell is dated so you'll know when to use it by! I would for sure recommend this when it's available.

amazing soap!

This is quite possibly my favorite my favorite soap. I've only tried Honey I Washed the Kids and this one though, and I have Sultana that I haven't used yet. But I don't like the scents of the other soaps and I'm pretty sure I'll like this one better than Sultana. Snow Cake is a slightly off-white soap has no ornamentation or fancy stuffy and looks rather boring compared to the other Lush products. It's a very creamy soap that glides nicely over the body. It lathers more easily than some other scents but doesn't fall to pieces. Now the smell...YUM! Snow Cake doesn't have a strong, overpowering scent. Ingredients include "rose absolute", and I can faintly pick out a floral scent. LUSH.com suggests the combo smells like "almond icing." The scent also lingered nicely after my shower. It's one of the cheaper soaps I believe however it's only available during the holidays. I will definitely be buying a large chunk this holiday season!

More refreshing than being hit in the face with a snowball.

**The Verdict:**  It's not Christmas until I get my hands on at least three bars of LUSH Snowcake soap.  It's one of my all time favorite soaps as I love the creamy consistency and scent.  **Just the Facts:**  **Snowcake soap** is made by LUSH; a company that makes fresh, unique, animal-friendly bath, body, and beauty products.  Snowcake is available only during the winter holiday season which is a shame as I think it would be great to have on hand all year long.  It doesn't smell strictly Christmassy but apparently LUSH does and they only sell it in stores from November thru the beginning of the year.  That's why I generally buy 3 or 4 bars when it comes out so that I can whip a bar out every few months when I need a Snowcake fix.  LUSH.com describes Snowcake as follows: *Creamy almond icing dessert for the body.  Snowcake, possibly our smoothest, creamiest soap, makes its annual trip home for the holidays. Why don't we keep it all year round? Well, it wouldn't be quite so special now, would it? This way, you will never be bored with Snowcake's rose-tinged, almond-icing-scented lovely lather all over your body. * I totally agree that Snowcake is the smoothest, creamiest soap.  I like to use this one straight on my skin to take advantage of the creamy lather and delightful scent.  It does not lather a lot but when used on a shower pouf the lather is greatly increased.  The scent is not so much almonds as it is marzipan.  When I think of almond I think of the scent of almond extract which smells like maraschino cherries.  Snowcake smells more like marzipan which is ground almonds with sugar.  It also has just the slightest hint of rose. But just the tiniest bit.   I don't like florals so if Snowcake was too floral I wouldn't like it but it is just ever so slightly tinged with rose.  The pure white color is kind of boring and not much to look at, but the creaminess and scent more than make up for its bland appearance. Snowcake is solid white as well.  Some of LUSH's soaps are clear and tend to melt very quickly when exposed to water, but Snowcake lasts a long time without melting. **Closing Argument:**  Four stars for Snowcake.  I absolutely love the smooth creamy consistency and the delightful scent.  The only negative thing I can say about it is that it is expensive.  And that it's only available for a short period of time each year and then it's gone.
