Good body wash but smells kinda weird

4

I received a bottle of LUSH snow fairy shower gel for Christmas from a friend. The bottle looks really cool and modern, it makes a great gift because of its visual appeal. I really liked the bright pink color of this body wash and it was kinda sparkly which I love because I'm a total glambot. It works really well also. It lathers really well and gets my skin clean and doesn't irritate my skin so I would definitely use it. It actually felt really luxurious because of how bubbly it gets in the shower. The one thing I don't like about this shower gel is the scent. It has a really strong and almost sickly sweet scent. It just really didn't smell great at all but at least it didn't leave a strong scent on my skin after getting out of the shower. If you don't mind the overly sweet smell of this shower gel then I would say it's good to use because it works well in every other regard.

Sparkly, shimmery, sweet snow fairy.

Oh how sad I am that it's not Christmas time! Because I've just run out of snow fairy and I have to wait until November to stock up again. It's now part of my Christmas shopping traditions - one present for someone else, one present for me and one of them is absolutely going to be Snow Fairy every year. The scent isn't one that'd normally appeal to me - being similar to candy floss or bubblegum or something insanely sweet - but for some reason when it's in a very pink sparkly shower gel it just works. There's a hint of glittery particles going through it that do end up on your skin and do end up staying there, so if you don't want that then really avoid this product. It lathers up really well, especially on a shower puff and so even a small bottle lasts for ages. Next year, though, I'll be stocking up on the 500ml bottles to make my sparkly bubblegum showers last even longer through 2015.

Sickly sweet

If you want to smell like six pounds of sugar, 200 lollipops, a truckload of gumdrops, and a heaping portion of cotton candy all mixed into one, then you'll adore this product. For me, however, the LUSH Snow Fairy scent is the last thing I want to smell like. I'm a sucker for sweet scents usually, but I found this one to be too overpowering. I'm surprised I didn't get a toothache. Seriously... it's that bad. The product itself does work well. I liked the way it lathered and cleaned my skin. I even found that the product lasted longer than any of the other LUSH shower gels I've owned. I found that this particular shower gel made my skin feel a little itchy. It was not a huge problem, but none of the other LUSH gels make my skin itch like this one did. It could be something in the fragrance. If you are a fan of cavity-sweet scents, then this one is for you! Just keep in mind that it's not for the faint of heart.

I had some pretty high expectations for Snow Fairy. This scent has a lot of hype behind it by LUSH fans. I am not going to lie, at first I was a little underwhelmed just smelling it in the store, however, this is a product that has grown on me since purchasing it. I still have tons of the shower gel left in my medium sized bottle, but I had to go and get another bottle of it during the holiday season so that I can have some for when I run out and they aren't selling it anymore. The scent is pretty nice, in my opinion. It's not incredibly overwhelming or noticeable but it is pleasant. I would recommend it if you've tried LUSH's rock star soap or the bubblegum lip scrub. It is similar to those scents. This product also works a lot better than I expected. With just a little dab of it, it will lather up really well! I've had some difficulty in the past with certain LUSH products not lathering up enough for my likening, but this one exceeded my expectations.

Most luxurious, useful shower gel I've ever used.

Walking into Lush always makes me a bit nervous, because I know that I'm going to end up spending a lot of money. Even though I know anything that I purchase at Lush is always going to be worth it. I was drawn to this a couple weeks ago, as it is a seasonal product. I loved the scent, and I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. As soon as I hopped in the shower and lathered this up, I couldn't believe how strong and amazingly sweet the scent was. It leaves your skin feeling soft, smelling good, and overall is such an great product. A little definitely goes a long way as well, so it is worth the price. It's great because it not only makes you smell great, it actually smells up the entire bathroom, which is great when you get back out. All my friends in my apartment were like "what is that amazing scent? holy cow!" There are also bath bombs and a solid soap available at Lush in these scents.

Pink and Sparkly and Fruity

5

I received this fabulous LUSH gel as a gift last Christmas and immediately fell in love! First, it's pink and sparkly. Right there it is just awesome! When you add to it the fact that it is a shower gel and shampoo it just gets that much better. On top of that is the fabulous fruity scent! So, first, let's address the pink and sparkly. It's a beautiful pink color that just makes you feel happy when you see it in the shower. The sparkles are adorable but not glitter so that it sticks to your skin and makes you look like you're wearing body glitter. As a shower gel and shampoo it works nicely. It creates masses of bubbles, especially when used with a mesh pouf, and leaves a subtle scent on your skin and hair. The scent is fruity and happy and light. It's not a particularly wintery smell, so I associate it more with the Fairy part of the name. In any case it's lovely. This is a limited time shower gel and is only available at the holidays so if you like sweet things and want them in your shower as well this is an excellent choice!

Fun and fruity!

I don't really get why this is called "snow fairy". To me the fragrance is very fruity and smells more like summer than winter. But anyways. I really love this product. It reminds me of childhood every time I use it. Let it be known that my favorite color is pink. So before I ever got the bottle home to use it for the first time, I was automatically drawn to it and purchased it because it was pink (completely irrational, I know). The first time I used it, I guess I didn't use enough on my bath pouf because it didn't lather well and I ran out of soap. So I ended up needing to add more. The next time I just made sure I had enough. I would consider this a bit of a downside. I didn't expect to have to use so much product per shower because I don't usually need very much shower gel when using other brands. That and the fact that the yummy fragrance doesn't really linger on your skin after washing are the only bummers I can think of. Otherwise it gets me clean and is a wonderful aromatherapy while I am in the shower. One other note, it says on the bottle that it is popular with men too. I don't believe this is talking about straight men. My husband would not touch a bottle of pink soap labeled "Snow Fairy", just saying. :P

Like it, but not love it.

For me, the scent is just way too sweet. Although I love it as a cleanser, I find it difficult to use because it's so in your face in the shower. It lathers ridiculously well when you use a shower poof. Everyone always recommends that I buy it and I finally caved during their 50% off Christmas sale. I like it, but I do not love it at all. I don't think I would pay the normal price for it purely because of the scent. It has sparkles in it, but they don't stick to your skin (great plus because I don't want to look like a little kid!). A little will go a long way, which is a huge plus because of its price point. A lot of people use it as a shampoo from what I have been told, but I wasn't crazy about doing that. I heard that's when the sparkles show up in your hair. If you can handle the sweetness, then this soap is definitely for you! If it wasn't for how great of a cleanser it is and how much it lathers, I would probably give it away.

LUSH Snow Fairy shower gel has an amazing scent. I use it as a shower gel, shampoo, and I even use it in my washing machine. There is nothing better than laying down in a bed that smells of Snow Fairy. A little bit goes a long way and the incredible scent lasts a long time. I LOVE this stuff!

Seriously, what is up with that scent?

*LUSH Snow Fairy Shower Gel* is one of their holiday limited-edition products.  I'm not exactly sure why I decided to buy it.  LUSH describes it as a pink, sparkly, vanilla-sweet shower gel.  I don't like pink, sparkles, or vanilla scents.  What was I thinking? *Snow Fairy* is a bright, almost neon-pink shower gel.  It is supposed to contain glitter but I never saw any in the bottle or when it was spread across my skin.  I wouldn't describe the scent as either vanilla or sweet.  To me it is sickeningly sweet and something very close to the fragrance of red Swedish fish.  While the appearance and scent of *LUSH Snow Fairy Shower Gel* is disappointing, the performance is not.  This product produces more lather than any other LUSH soap or shower gel that I've ever used.  Even better, you only need a dime-sized amount for complete body coverage.  The 3.3 fluid ounce bottle that I bought could easily last for two months of daily use and maybe even more. This shower gel neither hydrated nor stripped my skin.  It is just your average product... with a foul fragrance.  I was willing to use a sweet-vanilla cleanser but *Snow Fairy* was way too sweet and downright unpleasant.  I still have more than 3/4 of the bottle left and I will probably just throw it away.  It is THAT bad.
