LUSH Sexy Boy Massage Bar —

I've bought several LUSH massage bars over the years (Each Peach, Soft Coeur, Strawberry Feels Forever, Nutts, Mange Too) and, while I found some of them to work well as a basic skin moisturizer, none of them were actually "melty" enough to replace a true massage oil for a full-body massage.  I received a very generous sample piece of LUSH Sexy Boy Massage Bar in my latest order and I must say that I am impressed!

The idea behind LUSH massage bars is that they are solid blocks of butters and oils that will melt when exposed to skin's heat and provide the lubrication necessary for a good massage.  They are "naked" products in that they don't require plastic packaging which is good for the environment.  LUSH Sexy Boy is a holiday product that contains cocoa butter, shea butter, extra virgin coconut oil, lime oil, cocoa absolute, etc. and has a gingerbread man shape.  Personally, I don't consider gingerbread men to be sexy, but to each his/her own.

My husband simply doesn't do massages as it "hurts his hands".  (Hey, if he wants me to pay someone $80 per hour to do it, that's fine with me!)  I keep trying the LUSH Massage Bars, though, because I am always looking for a pleasantly-scented body moisturizer.  I used my piece of Sexy Boy to moisturize and hydrate my legs yesterday.  It melted easily across skin and produced loads of lovely oil to work across skin.  It truly is the first massage bar from this company that I've used that could actually be used for a real massage.  The scent is a bit strange, though.  The company describes it as a combination of cocoa and lime oil which doesn't immediately strike me as a "holiday" scent.  My nose interprets the fragrance blend as a mixture of florals which isn't something that I enjoy.

At about $8 per bar, this isn't an inexpensive massage bar but it is the first one that the company has produced that can actually replace massage oil.  I'm not crazy about the scent, but if I had someone at home who would give me a massage, I'd buy it again and again as it really does work as well as oils.
