I love LUSH Sandstone soap! It's actually what LUSH calls a 2-in-1 soap in that there are two layers; the yellow soap layer which cleanses, and the sand layer which exfoliates. I love the results of each layer and love that there is sand in this soap.
One thing I love about spending time at the beach is walking in the sand with my bare feet. It's like nature's pedicure as the friction of my feet against the sand helps to get rid of my ugly rhinoceros heels. Sandstone gives me that same natural exfoliating feeling but in my soap which I can use all over my body.
Sandstone's soap layer is bright yellow with off white pieces embedded in it and it smells like lemons. But natural lemons, not Lemon Pledge like so many other lemon scented products. The scent is a great eye opener in the morning. The top quarter of Sandstone is all fine sand. I use this bar by just rubbing it all over myself, paying special attention to areas like my feet, ankles, knees, and elbows, but it feels really good all over my body. The slight scratchiness is invigorating and it rinses away easily and right down the drain which totally surprised me. I figured it would be harder to rinse.
Sandstone leaves me smelling lightly of lemons and does not dry my skin at all. I love the way my skin feels so fresh and alive after using it. It's really a joy to cleanse with this soap. The only improvement I can recommend is if they sand could be right in the main soap instead of in a layer on top as sometimes the sand layer cracks off after a few uses. I might try to melt mine down and mix the sand right into the soap.
