LUSH Mask of Magnaminty Face Mask Review

Of course I had to buy Lush Mask of Magnaminty Face Mask because A) I am a sucker for LUSH products and B) I am a huge fan of face masks.  I bought my first 11.1 ounce pot of this fabulous face mask over a year ago and, well, I've kept it constantly in stock since!

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty is described as a "deeply cleansing, toning, and exfoliating pepperminty mask" on the jar.  It is a dull green with dark specks scattered throughout, so much so that my husband thought it was a mini-container of mint chocolate chip ice cream.  The main ingredients include water, kaolin clay, honey, talc, glycerin, evening primrose seeds, peppermint oil, and vanilla fruit extract.  This product smells like minty clay to me.  I just don't pick up any of the vanilla fragrance that the LUSH web site promises.

It is very easy to spread this face mask across skin.  You only need to use a small amount for thin and even coverage.  I would suggest applying only a thin amount because otherwise you will be waiting for up to an hour for everything to harden and dry out enough to easiy rinse away.  I'd say I get about 20-25 uses out of each $20 11.1 ounce jar of Mask of Magnaminty.

The only complaint that I have about this product is that it is a chore to remove from skin, even when it is completely hardened and dry.  The green clay mixture rinses away pretty easily, but all of the black exfoliating bits seem determined to cling to skin.  The best method I've found for removing LUSH Mask of Magnaminty is to wipe it all off with a warm washcloth.

When all is said and done, this face mask leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and very smooth.  Although it is a bit of a challenge to wash away, I am happy to put forth the effort because I really love the results that it provides.  At something like $1 per use, I find Mask of Magnaminty to be reasonably priced and incredibly effective.  Recommended!
