LUSH King of Skin Body Butter Review Summary

LUSH King of Skin Body Butter disappointed our loyal LUSHies. This all natural solid brick of oils and butters just doesn't hydrate as expected, according to our reviewers. While the bar contains loads of good for the skin ingredients, it doesn't smooth over the body and it doesn't hydrate well. The scent is nice though! Quick View

LUSH's body butters usually aren't really body butter but solid exfoliating blocks. However, LUSH King of Skin Body Butter isn't an exfoliating block. It is a solid block of oils and butters designed to deeply moisturize and soften the skin.

It's definitely filled with hydrating ingredients but it lacks scent and it is really greasy. I just didn't feel satisfied after using this product.

The Product

This 3.3 ounce square bar is a deep cream color and is the closest thing to unscented I have tried from LUSH. It has an oily scent but nothing I can discern. It certainly doesn't smell good....

After a fabulous experience with LUSH's The Soft Touch Body Butter, I wanted to try another one that could be used outside of the shower and left on skin all day.  After browsing around on the company web site, I discovered that their King of Skin Body Butter was exactly what I was looking for.  I bought one as soon as I could and was very eager to try it...  Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations and will probably land in the garbage can before long.

This body butter is a solid block of cocoa and shea butters, avocado, bananas, oatmeal infusion, coconut butter, and several oils. ...
