The Verdict:  I had not intended to buy this perfume when went to LUSH to buy another one, but am so glad I decided to try it. I absolutely love it!

Just the Facts:  LUSH is a company that makes handmade bath and body products and is known for producing items that are highly and uniquely scented.  Some of those scents have almost a cult following which I think is why LUSH finally decided to create perfumes from some of those scents.  Just recently LUSH released eight solid perfumes that capture the scent of some of their soaps, massage bars, and other products.  This review is about Honey I Washed the Kids Solid Perfume (HIWTK).

Honey I Washed the Kids soap was released a few years back and people really love it.  I tried it once thinking I'd hate it but instantly fell in love with it.  Still, I had reservations about trying the solid perfume and had no intent to buy it when I went to LUSH a few weeks ago to purchase a different scent.  But when I was standing there at the counter playing with all of the impulse items I gave it a try and ended up throwing it into my shopping basket.

HIWTK soap is described as containg honey and bergamot and the perfume is described as being a combination of honey and toffee.  Having used this perfume now several times, it definitely smells like a combination of all those things.  It is sweet from the toffee and honey but a bit tangy as well from the bergamot, which is a citrus fruit.  The scent is very unique and quite strong.  If you don't like smelling like food, you won't like this perfume.

The scents are all combined and mixed with cocoa butter so that it is in solid form and contained in a small tin container.  In winter these solid perfumes will be a bit harder then in summer time and a bit more difficult to apply.  My perfume is on the hard side now but when I rub my warm thumb over the top it melts the cocoa butter a little and I am able to apply the perfume wherever I'd like.

HIWTK perfume is strong and very long lasting. I put some on my wrists about 5pm last night.  It's noon the next day right now and I can still smell it.  Not as strong as when I first applied it, but it's definitely still there.

HIWTK is $12 for a container that holds.35 ounce of product.  Doesn't sound like much but a tiny bit goes a long way and I suspect that the oils and butters in the product will go rancid before I've used it all. It's quite potent.

I also like that it's so easy to pop this little tin into my purse if I need a touch up.  I don't generally need to touch up when using HIWTK as it is so potent, but it's nice to know that I could carry it in my purse and not have to worry about it breaking, leaking, or being heavy.

Closing Argument:   I am so happy with this perfume and glad that I gave it a try.  5 stars for HIWTK solid perfume as it's potent, convenient, lightweight, and a pretty good value for LUSH.
