Adorable!

I'll admit it, I'm a total sucker for holiday themed bath products! I love the little snowmen the best because I can use them all winter without feeling like I'm just using up the Christmas leftovers. I love most of LUSH's bubble bars and Frothy was no different. He's adorable to start off with, and add to that his lovely candy like scent! I just couldn't pass him up! He's actually big enough that I probably could have split him in half and saved some for another day, but I went whole hog and use him all. The resulting masses and masses of bubbles were just too lovely! I felt like Julia Roberts in that bathtub scene in Pretty Woman. It was fantastic! It also moisturized wonderfully so that I felt no need to use an additional moisturizer when I got out of the bath, which was nice. This will remain a favorite for many holidays to come, no matter what new releases many come out to tempt me to forget ol Frothy!

Love this bubble far. So much fun to use.

This bubble bar is awesome. I love that it's solid too (as opposed to your general run of the mill liquid bubble baths). Essentially, you hold a piece in your hand under running bath water and slowly break it up into smaller pieces until its all gone.    The scent is very nice and you get TONS of bubbles out of it and they last throughout the entire bath (and when I settle in for a bubble bath it's usually anywhere beetween 30-60 minutes).  I usually break up this bubble bar into three to four pieces so I can get three or four baths out of it (since LUSH stuff tends to be a bit pricey, but this bubble bar is so worth it). The downside is that this bubble bar only gets released  during the holiday season so once I run out of it I have to wait again.  This bubble bar has pieces of candy in it (which make up the face of Frothy). These don't go down the drain but it's fairly easy to just pull them out and set them on the side or throw them out.

Frothy The Snowman has a deliciously unconventional scent.

This is what Lush has to say about Frothy the Snowman: Liquorice and vanilla-scented bubbles for jolly bathingTake a jolly, happy bath with our snowman bubble bar. This sweetie pie makes mounds of creamy liquorice and vanilla-scented foam to envelop you like a big, warm blanket in the tub. Rolled in coconut, he smells like a bit like liquorice allsorts, those very popular English candies. Have some fun with Frothy the Snowman before his bubbles fade away. Here is what I have to say: I was completly blown away by Frothy. I never really expected to like it, but as it turns out it has to be one of my favorite Lush products so far. What I like best is the scent, which does linger afterwards. Liquorice, coconut and vanilla mixed together sounds kind of gross, I know, but it smells a bit more like suntan lotion. If you have ever smelled the Yankee Candle scent, Sun & Sand, it is just like that. I am a sucker for anything that smells a bit like coconut! It is also very close to the scent of Lush's Hybrid solid shampoo bar. The bubbles produced by Frothy were creamy, long lasting and abundant - and I only used about a quarter of the bar!! Another bonus was there was no big mess to clean up. The candy piece was easy to pick out of the bath tub and the coconut flakes went right down the drain. For an extra moisturizing bath try mixing Frothy with Butterball or a chunk of Mr. Butterball -the vanilla scent mixes well.

Frothy the Snowman is quite a disappointment.

Each year in November LUSH releases a limited-edition lineup of holiday products.  *Frothy the Snowman*'s cute appearance and yummy coconut scent caught my attention during my last trip to the Atlantic City LUSH shop.  I bought one on the spot and figured that I would buy myself a few more through the company site if I liked the way this product performed.  According to LUSH, *Frothy the Snowman* is supposed to smell like licorice and vanilla.  There was no little tab with a description of it in the shop, though, and to me it smelled mostly like the coconut that this bubble bar was rolled in.  After an unfortunate night back in college that involved Black Sambuca shots, I'm not really into licorice and wouldn't have bought it if I had known that's what this thing was supposed to smell like. Bubble bars are solid pieces of bubble bath that you crumble under running bath water.  I don't know if I have low water pressure or water that is too hard/soft, but I never seem to get oodles of bubbles from LUSH bubble bars.  Some of them produce a nice amount while others produce very little in the way of foam/bubbles.  *Frothy the Snowman* ranks at the very bottom of the list of bubble bars when it comes to bubbles.  Even after crumbling the ENTIRE bar under the water, there were maybe 2 cups of bubbles that almost immediately disappeared.  What a disappointment. The scent of this product was interesting and something that I liked, but completely different from the LUSH description of it.  To me, after it was completely broken up and dissolved into the water, it smelled mostly like coconut and vanilla and closer to tanning lotion than licorice candy.  I enjoy tropical scents which is why I decided to buy *LUSH Frothy the Snowman Bubble Bar*.  That being said, the whole suntan lotion scent thing doesn't really fit with a product in the shape of a snowman! My suggestion would be for LUSH to use this formula (and coconut exterior) next spring/summer... it just doesn't work for a Christmas/holiday-type item. If *Frothy the Snowman* actually produced bubbles, I probably would have given it 3 or 4 stars because the fragrance is great.  Unfortunately, in terms of bubbles, it is the worst LUSH bubble bar that I've ever used.  Not recommended!
