I've tried a few olive oil soaps from other companies and they all made me smell like I'd bathed in motor oil. They were simply foul. Thankfully I decided to give LUSH's Extra Virgin Olive Soap a try! The first thing that drew me to this, besides the ingredients, was the pretty bright green color. It just looked happy and lovely. The only odd thing was that when I used the soap I discovered that the gorgeous greens that I was admiring turned out to be pieces of actual olive leaves! It was cool, but kind of strange. The smell was not like the motor oil stench of other brands, but a spicy, almost fruity smell that seemed almost masculine to me. Not bad, but just more masculine. As a soap it foamed nicely and left me feeling moisturized but not greasy. The scent, for better or worse, did not linger. The price was about the same as the other LUSH soaps and was a good value. The bars don't last as long as other brands, but as long as you keep them completely dry in between uses you get quite a few uses out of them.
