LUSH Butterball Bath Bomb —

One of the first products I tried way back when I discovered LUSH and became absolutely addicted was the Butterball bath bomb. It was love at first soak.

Butterball is my favorite LUSH bath bomb EVER. It's moisturizing, smells terrific, and I use it frequently in winter to relax and keep my skin hydrated and soft. Butterball is a staple in my LUSH pantry and I flip out when my supply starts to get low. I like to have at least four of them on hand at all times.

A Butterball bath is truly a treat for me. Just looking at the small white ball full of tan colored cocoa butter bits makes me smile.  After I run the bath, I slide myself into the hot water and plop a Butterball in with me.  As it begins to fizz and roll around in the water, it releases its wonderful, nutty scent as well as little blobs of actual cocoa butter. It's just loaded thru and thru with cocoa butter which looks a little gross when it separates from the bomb as they are little tan floating blobs. The blobs eventually melt completely and the melted butter floats on the water to coat the skin and lock in moisture.

Butterball is one of the smallest of LUSH's bath bombs but it's also one of the least expensive.  I emerge from the tub smelling delicious and feeling very soft and moisturized. My skin feels slightly oily after use but it also feels very good and I don't have to use a separate moisturizer; I usually just rub the residual oil into my skin, dry off, and get dressed. The only downside to Butterball is that it leaves an oily film on the surface of the tub. The tub must be cleaned after each use or you risk slipping the next time you step into the bath. For the lingering scent and the high level of moisturization I get from using Butterball, the small extra effort involved with cleaning the tub is well worth it.

Thanks for the note on the slippery residue. I just hate products that do that, so I know not to buy this bath bomb. I'll try one of the others then.

This sounds awesome. I haven't tried any Lush products yet. I have been waiting for Patty to get sick of hers and pass them along. Heh ... Guess I will have to buy my own. ;)
