Quick View: LUSH products have long been hit and miss for me. One standby though is LUSH Butterball Bath Bomb. This simple, natural bath bomb doesn't explode with color or hidden 'prizes" but it makes my skin silky smooth and baby soft.
My Take on LUSH Butterball Bath Bomb
LUSH makes mostly natural, handmade bath and body products. LUSH Butterball Bath Bomb is 3.1 ounces and can be cut into pieces or used whole. It's pricey at $4.85 but I still usually use a while bomb when I take a nice, long bath. Baths are one of my unguilty pleasures and I love to pamper myself when I can. LUSH Butterball Bath Bomb is a simple yellow ball of oils that frizzes in the water. It doesn't emit color like many of the bombs do and there's nothing inside like flower petals, love notes, or seaweed and, for that, I'm grateful!
Containing just Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Fair Trade Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Synthetic Musk, Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), and Perfume, the bomb smells subtle and soothing and has a load of oils to deeply hydrate parches or dry skin. I smell vanilla, cocoa butter, and a mix of other pleasant but not overwhelming scents.
I keep my hair out of the water when I use this bomb to avoid the oily residue getting into it and then I just soak away my cares. When I am done with my bath, my skin is very smooth, soft, and hydrated. the oils wipe off fine and leave a veil of moisture behind.
However, my tub gets greasy and I have to really be sure to rinse it well so no one slips and hurts themselves.
Otherwise, LUSH Butterball Bath Bomb is a simple yet highly effective little ball of oils that sooth, smooth, and relax me. I use these bombs fairly often despite the price. I have used a half of a bomb and it worked well. I just like to plunk the whole thing in and watch it spin around and fizz as I relax. Hey, it's a simple pleasure!
My Viewpoint
LUSH Butterball Bath Bomb is packed with oils to hydrate and pamper skin. It isn't fancy but it's natural and handmade. It doesn't have crazy stuff in it and it does a great job on dry skin. It does leave a slippery tub behind so be mindful of that. 4 stars.
