Very early in my life, I discovered that nature had provided me with very little "natural" amenities and I was forced to uncover artificial means to rectify these horrifying deficiencies. Once such glaring example would be my absolute lack of long, luxurious eyelashes. In my teens, I suffered from the "Maybeline Big Lash" syndrome which, while appropriately lengthening my lashes, created quite an unappealing look a la Tammy Faye Bakker. Following this period, I happened upon the L'oreal Voluminous Mascara product that has since become my anchor. Never quite being content, however, with what I thought was "settling" - after all, advertisements would claim that this or that product would provide longer, more luxurious lashes - I thought I'd try others that could potentially entice me away from my old friend, L'oreal. I've tried them all, even the ones that cost much more than a measly Hamilton. Quite frankly, their claims are balderdash. I can now say that the ONLY mascara one should use with any loyally and success is the Voluminous Mascara from L'oreal. It usefully provides longer lashes of socially acceptable lengths, as well as a deceptive fullness not achievable in nature. It also doesn't easily smudge or clump unless one is faced with unexpected life circumstances (i.e., Hallmark commercials). Until mankind develops a sufficient alternative to the mascara (okay, there's Lamisil, but who wants to suffer the side effects - scaly, itchy flaky skin?!), L'oreal has produced what may be the finest alternative to naturally full, luxuriously long lashes.
