I don't wear much makeup, but I love wearing mascara in the summer when I go out. I always buy waterproof mascara because often times I go to pool parties or barbeques and I want my mascara to stay on, especially in the summer heat. This Loreal formula is great because it lasts a long time and it adds a lot of volume to your lashes. This formula makes your lashes look fuller and thicker but won't make them clump up. I have loved L'oreal mascara for a long time. I use more than one type of mascara but this is my favorite. One, because it comes in waterproof, which I must have because my eyes water alot for various reasons. Two, because it doesn't make my eyelashes so stiff that they break. I hate mascara that dries so stiff that your lashes get brittle and break off! The price is pretty reasonable too which is also a good reason to buy it. Save your money from buying expensive mascara. If your a mom like me, the last place you want to be spending $15.00 is on a tube of mascara. This is at most $9.00 and does the job ,if not as good, then better. I was rasied using nothing but the best. My mother taught me if it didnt cost 30.00 for a tube of mascara it wouldnt work right. Boy way she wrong i have used just about every type of mascara you can think of and i was never happy. I keep coming back to this mascara (waterproof or the regular in Carbon black). I sometimes try a new brand, or spend more money thinking I will get even better results but it never happens and I keep coming back to this wonderful mascara. It doesn't flake or clump and you can add layers and layers to get that full, bold look you desire. Its even better than MAC mascara and one third the price. Oh, and it lasts a very long time. So I'm glad it was specified to get this mascara in waterproof, because the regular kind totally doesn't hold lashes in place as well or look as good. Sometimes I'll stray to try out new mascaras, but I always come running back to my L'Oreal like an old boyfriend. The first few times you use it, it is a bit spidery but it helps if you take off a little of the excess on the wand. Actually, I've read you're supposed to do this with any type of mascara.
