I just bought L'Oreal True Match Powder because I really like the liquid foundation, so I assumed they would compliment each other. Unfortunately, I don't really like this powder. It seems like it came from a completely different make-up line. I bought it in the same color as I use with the True Match liquid foundation (W4), yet it looks much lighter on my face, making my skin look too pale. The consistency is too "powdery"--it doesn't go on smoothly, and doesn't seem to be sticking to my skin. The result is not enough coverage and a pale face that looks like I patted it with light beige baby powder.
This product might work better if you start off with a clear complexion, and are lucky enough to choose the right color for your skin. I prefer the consistency of a mineral based powder that stays on better, and gives more of a matte finish. This powder was not a "true match" even though the swatch looks like my skin tone. Plus, it is more like talc than foundation.

I don't like it much.

Comments about L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder:

This powder breaks me out on my forehead and and chin. If it were not for that, I would like it more. It is quite powdery and is hard to work with if it is the only face makeup you are applying. It works much better if you wear a tinted moisturizer or dewy foundation because it does not get as cakey with a slicker base. It is still cakey, but not as bad. It gets very powdery on my nose and chin. It gets crusty around blemishes. It keeps oil away well if patted into the skin. It also smells absolutely terrible. It is very sour and smells like spoiled milk. It is nauseating when applying to your face, and I was always self conscious about it while wearing it because I was not sure if people could smell it when they came close to my face. The packaging is very convenient and comes with a nice mirror that is separated from the makeup, so it does not get dirty. It is pretty pricey for a drugstore powder, especially since the quality is poor.

Not good!

Comments about L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder:

Yesterday, I purchased the True Match Super Blendable foundation and loved it. Today I decided to run to the store to purchase this powder (which I saw yesterday and thought about buying). I wish I had not gone back to the store because this powder was a waste of money. I wanted to use it to touch up my foundation midday or as a quick alternative to foundation on the mornings when I just don't have the time for full makeup. The color is fine, it matched my skin. But when I applied this powder to my face it looks very heavy even though I only used a little. I wiped it off and tried even less on the brush. That's when I realized it's not the amount, it's just the chalky texture of the powder that makes it look so heavy. It makes skin look powdery and dry and it actually makes pores and lines more visible instead is less visible. I will not be using this again. It has already been chucked in the garbage!

Chalky skin!

Comments about L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder:

When the L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder came out, I was ecstatic and immediately bought it. However when I tried it on, it didn't seem right on my skin tone and just looked weird. My skin looked so chalky, wrinkly, and just dried up overall. I was very disappointed in this L'Oreal powder.

Too orange, not for oily skin

Comments about L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder:

I purchased this foundation because it was very affordable and I was looking for a powder foundation. Unfortunately this True Match powder just did not work well for my skin.

For one, I had difficulty with getting the color to match my skin. Intially the color would match great. Then I would look at myself in the mirror 30 minutes later to find that the foundation had oxidized to a completely orange odd looking color. I had purchased multiple shades in an attempt to find a color match and they all turned an orange tint after a short period of time. My skin is medium and warm and I usually do not have trouble finding a match.

Also, this foundation cakes up like crazy on my oily skin. It settles into my pores and builds up around my nose and mouth. It also does not hold up well to oil at all and began to cake after only an hour.

Overall I do not recommend this L'oreal True Match powder.

True match powder finish

Comments about L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder:

The color palette for darker complexion African American skin is not effective. Frankly the color palette needs to be more like a deep rich Mahogany tone for those of us who need the moisture control but don't want artificial texture to our skin. Upon application it appears chalky in texture and gives the feel like you applied talcum powder to your face. With darker complexions , I suggest that we still need hint of moisture otherwise an over done matte look makes you look like a corpse. My main complaint isn't with the the actual components of the makeup as they are safe on the skin . My issue is the range of hues or tones . In the product arrangement there is no clear color guide for one to follow since we can usually test and open the package. Plus the color guide is not accurate for darker skin. I believe there needs to be more darker shades provided and a better color scale to follow.

Doesn't blend well

Comments about L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder:

I decided to try this after it went on sale at our local drugstore and I had a coupon for it.  Thankfully I didn't pay much for it because so far I'm not impressed.  First of all, I don't like the packaging.  The way the compact opens is just inconvienent for me.  The pad and the mirror are on one side while the makeup is on another.  I have to open both ends at the same time to use it which is just awkward.  It seems to not blend well and kinda "cake" on my face.  It is MUCH lighter than my foundation and just doesn't blend in well at all.  Maybe I need to try it with the tru match foundation, but I would still expect a powder to blend more flawlessly than this one does.  Also I've started breaking out on my forehead since I've been using this.  I haven't changed any other part of my makeup or skincare, so I'm assuming that this product is making me break out.  I'm not happy with this at all and would not recommend it to others.

L'Oreal True Match compact makeup classic ivory N2 disappointing

Comments about L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder:

First of all I want to say I REALLY wanted to like this make up. The ease of application appeals to me. The reason I didn't like it was it quickly settled into every pore, wrinkle and fine line I had on my face. I am 38 years old and it made me look 50. It also had a chalky finish and went on alot lighter than it looked in the compact. This may be good for the young women without lines and wrinkles but if your starting to have those you might want to skip it for something else. After less than a hour my face also felt oily and I wanted to wash it off.

really like this true match powder

Comments about L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder:

I love makeup, but I want just a basic foundation, powder, and blush to stick to. I would rather spend my money on eye makeup and lip products. I really liked L'Oreal's True Match foundation so I decided to try the powder. I used to use loose powder, and I haven't been a big fan of pressed powder for awhile, but I decided to try this anyway. I really like it. I use a blush brush to apply it so it does not get too thick. I really like it because it matches the foundation perfectly. It is a good shade for my skin tone as well. It does not make me look chalky and my face does not get greasy when wearing it. It can be re applied and doesn't need much to make your face look fresh again. I recommend this powder for someone who wants a quick easy powder.

THIS CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER!!!!!

By

Comments about L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder:

I can't say enough good things about this powder!!!!! It is just absolutely amazing in every single way. I only need a little bit of concealer under my eyes to hide my under eye circles and this powder to get flawless skin. I have dry skin and have somewhat clear skin with a few pimples per month and sometimes monthly hormonal breakouts. I don't have very many monthly hormonal breakouts anymore because of my wonderful moisturizer however I do get a few pimples every month and have redness on my cheeks everyday. This does a perfect job at covering up all my redness and pimples given me perfect and even skin. It gives great coverage without becoming cakey and heavy. I think this would also be a great powder to set your foundation as well if you are someone who needs more coverage. This powder stays on all day. I put my makeup on at around 6:30 in the morning and this powder stays on until 9:30-10:00 AT NIGHT!!! This product also has an amazing range of color shades and really has a match for any skin tone. I recommend this to anyone who needs coverage whether it be if you need coverage with just this powder (like me) or need to set your foundation with it. I also recommend this to anyone who is busy all day because this stays on ALL day!! RECOMMEND TO ALL!!! I USE IT EVERYDAY AND IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!
