Easy to apply but the results stink and my hair looks damaged.

***Quick View: ***I thought a mousse hair color would be the answer to messy liquid hair colors and it is. But the results I got were not good and the product really dried my hair out. ***My Take on L'Oreal Paris Healthy Look Sublime Mousse Haircolor*** I generally color my hair at home but sometimes go to the salon and have it done. A while ago, I had my hair colored professionally. It was just a few shades lighter than my usual dark brown color and I liked it. However, the price for the dye job was really high and I wasn't about to go back every 4-6 weeks to maintain the color. After consulting with my stylist who was not happy that I wanted to color my hair at home, she agreed that the color "Iced Brown" would be a great match for the color she put on. It had been a number of weeks and the color was fading and I wanted it back. I bought a box of **L'Oreal Paris Healthy Look Sublime Mousse Haircolor **because I make such a mess in the bathroom with liquid colors. They splatter everywhere - on me, the sink, the floor, walls, the shower curtain. It's awful. So a mousse seemed divine to me. The instructions were clear and all I had to do was mix two bottles together, add the pump top and gently rotate (not shake) the bottle. The color came out as a frothy mouse and was super easy to apply. No mess! I left the color on for the specified amount of time and then showered and used the included conditioner. My hair felt very straw-like and stiff even after using the conditioner. Usually my hair feels soft after I color it but not with **L'Oreal Paris Healthy Look Sublime Mousse Haircolor.** When I dried my hair, it was BLACK. And the roots were orange. Not only that but my hair was frizzy and looked to be damaged. I deep conditioned it with an overnight conditioner and that helped a bit but my hair still looks frizzy and feels dry and not soft at all. The color is ugly. I don't want black hair. I can't get the color to wash out and don't want to do anything drastic like strip the color so I will wait until it eventually fades. The roots look ridiculous too. I will touch those up with my usual hair color soon. For me, **L'Oreal Paris Healthy Look Sublime Mousse Haircolor** was a bust. I love the mousse formula but not the results, the drying of my hair, and the inferior root coverage. ***My Viewpoint*** I won't be buying **L'Oreal Paris Healthy Look Sublime Mousse Haircolor **again! I hope someone comes out with a good mousse hair color because it is so much less messy but results are what count and I got pretty awful results with this product. ***2 stars.*** Try it though. You may love it. It just wasn't for me. Effectiveness Doesn't cover gray well or much at all. Brassy. Dried out my hair. Ease of Application Easy mousse application but messy! Protect everything so droplets don't stain surroundings.
