L'Oreal Feria Review Summary

L'Oreal Feria pleased most of our reviewers who color their hair at home. Most of them agree that this hair color is effective and leaves their hair shimmery, shiny and colored. They also agree that it smells better than most at home color treatments and comes with an excellent after color conditioner. Reviewer Browneyedgirl786 says, “Overall, this product is well worth the money. I would highly recommend it.” Lorialcorn2006 says, "This color was easy to use and covers gray very well. Most other colors will cover gray for about 3 or 4 shampoos and then you get the gray back. This product stays true to color for longer than usual.” Some reviewers agreed that this product is good as a hair color, but not so good on tough gray hairs. If you are looking to color your hair at home, L'Oreal Feria may be a good choice for you – except in some cases where you may be fighting tough grays or going extreme with your color. I used this brand because I have always been satisfied with all other Loreal products. I was going from blonde to brown. I used #40, which is Espresso (shown in picture). At first, it was very dark, almost a black. After several days it started to lighten up though, to a very pretty chocolate color.... review »

Alright, L'oreal's Feria is easy enough to use. The price was right, after store discounts and a coupon. It smells nice. Those things, I'll give it.

The color, though? Looked good for about two seconds before oxidizing to a cheap orangey brassy shade. Bear in mind that my hair is very dark, so this was...

I have very resistant gray hair and often had problems with at home color, until I tried Feria....It is a little more expensive that most but well worth it.  My gray hair never bleed through, the only time I need to color again is for re-growth.

I have been using Feria by L'Oreal for years now. I alternate between salon visits to try and save money since I have to dye my hair every 2-3 weeks to be sure the white doesnt show!!! My hairstylist uses Goldwell products from Germany when she dyes my hair and they are very expensive but feel very damaging to the hair compared to the way my hair feels after using Feria. The Feria always looks silky and beautiful after I have used it. I get more compliments when I use Feria vs. going to the salon. The downside to the product is: Over time it no longer covers white roots and the roots eventually... review »

I have been using L'oreal Feria in #41 Crushed Garnet for a little over a year now.  Initially, after dying my hair I absolutely loved the color and thought it was pretty true to the picture on the box.  I recieved many compliments.  However, after a week or two I began to notice that my once dark mahogany hair was turning into a lighter, brassier red.  I continued to recieve many compliments on my hair color, but a lot of my friends would randomly ask me if I dyed my hair again in a different color.

All in all, I would say that L'oreal Feria is probably one of the best at-home hair dyes I...

This color was easy to use and covers grey very well most other colors will cover grey for about 3 or 4 shampoos and than you get the grey back this product stays true to color for longer than usual . its smells great and does not fade to quickly .the only thing that was not good was the color transfering to the towel after the first few washes this goes away after a while .still a good product

I love Feria.  I am disabled, and strong odors from hair products tend to make me dizzy.  Feria is not as strong smelling when you are applying it as other coloring agents are.  It covers my gray totally.  This one I can do myself, without help from another person.  It also makes my hair look like I highlighted it.  It also gives great conditioning to your hair, and the shine is amazing.

Try Feria.  You won't be disappointed.

I dye my hair black (shh... don't tell anyone!), and I always want a cool deep color. A lot of black dyes are warm based and clash with my skin tone. Black dye can also turn out flat and dull. I use Feria's "bright black" because it's blue based and really really shiny. It picks up on light and almost sparkles. And I can't get enough of the conditioner that comes with it!

I've been coloring my hair for almost 20 years now at home. This is by far one of the best home do-it-yourself haircolor products on the market. They have a wide range of colors to choose from. Your hair doesn't dry out from using it and I love the shine and fullness it gives my hair. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

Of all the boxed hair dyes I have used, this one is the greatest quality for the money. The last time I dyed my hair at a salon, they messed up and Feria totally fixed it! I can use 2 boxes for about $20, which is over half the price of salon dying my long hair. I use the color chocolate cherry and will never use anything else!

I recently splurged and spent a pile of money at a salon for a special event thinking that it would be superior to my own at home coloring efforts, and I was shocked to discover that the only difference was the price....the color wasn't any truer, and didn't last any longer, and wasn't any less harsh on my hair than using the Loreal feria products.  Plus a coupon makes it an even better deal, and from time to time, I have seen this product on a buy one/get one free deal at places like Wal-mart.   It is easy to use, reasonably priced, and doesn't overly damage hair.  There is a toll free number... review »

I tried Loreal Feria thinking it would get rid of my grey hair, and not only that but come out a DECENT color.I did EVERYTHING the box toled me to do and still....My hair is naturally light brown, I tried a darker brown and it turned lighter then my original hair! If you dont want a surprise color, i would suggest not using Loreal Feria. They should call it Loreal Surprise, because you dont know what your going it get!.....My friend uses Satin hair color and she suggested I use that, I tried it and wow! my hair has never looked better! The color is perfect for me, also got rid of my greys. I had...

I loved it. It left my hair smelling good, shimmery, and with just a great color. It works with the majority of skin tones too. Awesome. I've been dying my hair since I was 12.... Now I'm almost 20, and I've used so many different brands and color. I think I would rate this above all the rest in this color category. Everybody loved it. It just made my hair look really healthy.

I have brown hair but i dye it black.  For me the black is perfect.  But be warned: it looks blueish black. I love it but if you want a natural looking black then this is not for you. And it is really hard to wash out if you do not like it!!

After a really horrible highlighting experience at a salon which gave me platinum blonde streaks in my dark brown hair, I was loathe to try and get it fixed by another professional...especially at the $50+ price tag.  I waited a couple of months, living with the color rather than rush into another chemical job, and settled on Feria hair coloring purchased at a local megamart store.  A friend of mine had colored her hair with this product back when it first came out, and I remembered thinking how nice and shimmery the results were.  My biggest fear in at-home coloring is ending up with a dull,...
