L'Oreal Double Extend tube technology Review

I have always shied away from two-step mascara systems because (a) they take too long and (b) they're not worth the extra effort.  I am very happy to report that the L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara has single-handedly changed my tune!  I have light colored, short, spikey natural lashes.  Cute for a tomboy, not so cute for a wanna-be sex pot, right?  This mascara makes my lashes nearly twice as long and nice and curly.  I wear glasses, and sometimes I can feel my new long lashes brushing up against my lenses.  That has NEVER happened before!

Okay, so the low down on applying it:

You start with the first step, which is a white primer.  Pretty straightforward.  You follow that up with the black end that gives you the gorgeous lashes.  The wand is pretty short, which can be tricky to get used to, but I still say it's worth it.  Plus, that's usually true of all the two-step mascaras.  Otherwise, you'd end up with a tube of mascara that is WAY too long to conveniently store in your makeup bag.

As for removing it:

I'll be honest.  I'm pretty lazy, and I usually don't try to take this mascara off every night.  I've found it can last for a couple of days at least!  And the wonderful stuff doesn't smudge on me...  Even when I'm bawling over some stupid commercial because it's my time of the month.  :-)

I've found the best place to remove this mascara is in the shower.  I let the hot steam do its work for a while, and then as I am washing my face, I just pinch my lashes and pull the tubes off.  For your typical tube mascara, this stuff is pretty gentle.  I really don't have to pull that hard to get it off (but then again, by the time I try, I've been in a steamy shower for ten minutes).

Bottom line:

I love, love, love it!  For nine bucks, you can't go wrong, seriously.
