Works well - amazing blending! Hallelujah!

I love this product! My skin is very oily - even my eyelids - so even waterproof eyeliners and eye shadows give me grief by ending up in the creases. Ugh. Enter L'Oreal De-Crease Eyeshadow Base - hallelujah! It's cost-efficient and works very well as long as you follow a couple of easy tips: Use the applicator to put some on your lid but smooth on evenly with a fingertip; and keep your eyes closed for a few seconds for it to dry. That's it! Sometimes I even wake up the following day and find that most of my makeup is still in place - a miracle! (Yes, I know that's bad for my skin, but sometimes laziness wins..). And I admit I was a little worried about its "all shades" status because it certainly has a shade to it in the tube! My fears were unjustified, however; it blended as beautifully as promised. I actually really liked omitting eye shadow altogether and using this base with only eyeliner and mascara. So, the bad stuff... Not much to say here! The main downfall I see is that the applicator wand isn't long enough to get all of the product out. I'm a gal who likes getting what she pays for, so it requires some creative thinking... I find that cutting the top part of the tube off and keeping it sealed in a baggie between uses works just fine, but I do believe that L'Oreal should do this product (and its buyers) justice by creating a tube and applicator that's efficient until the product is gone. Bottom line? Try it! You might become its next biggest fan - after me, of course! :)

I think just about every major cosmetic line is creating their own version of an eyeshadow primer or base to keep eyeshadows from creasing. The real issue for those lovers of cream eyeshadows. Those definitely tend to break down with time and become oily. Sometimes it is just due to a person's skin having a higher natural oil secreation and other times it is all about the way the product is made. It just doesn't hold up to heat, sweat and activity and starts to break down. I love L'Oreal products in general, but I am glad they have an eyeshadow base now. This works very well for the price point. Just dab it on and smooth it out. You have a nice solid foundation that has covered any blemishes, dark circles or small flaws. Like a nice blank canvas to work on. It will also last for a while because it do not take much to get some fantastic coverage. You can even go a shade or two lighter incase you're worried about it matching.

I found Loreal's de-crease eyeshadow base a few months ago when I was trying to figure out what products I wanted to use on my wedding day. I started looking at primers, and then I saw that there is also special primers for your eyelids, too. Whew! It seemed a little more complicated than I first expected it would be. However, after doing some research, I decided that I would give Loreal's eye base a try. I really liked it! As with other reviewers of this product, I wasn't too keen on the applicator: you still need to blend it in with your fingers, but hey, I have to do that with a lot of cosmetics. At any rate, it worked just as well as the more expensive eye primers out there (i'm thinking of urban decay; I know I tried that one too), so I was very happy with a less expensive alternative (not to mention the ease of picking it up at the grocery store instead of making a special trip to the mall). I wore it at my wedding, and even with all the crying, etc., I still looked pretty darn good all day!

L'Oreal De-Crease is the only eye shadow primer I need

L'Oreal De-Crease Eye Shadow Base not only makes my eye shadow last longer, but also makes it more vibrant and go on more even.  I have tried some of the more expensive eye shadow primers, such as the Urban Decay Primer Potion and Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and this product has proven to be far superior to those.  It is great that it is much less expensive than those other products, but I would be willing to pay more if they worked better.  L'Oreal De-Crease is the only product that really kept my eye shadow from creasing throughout the day.  I also use it even when I'm not going to wear eye shadow just to keep my eyelids looking fresh and to keep the foundation on them from creasing and it works great for that too.  I have had a lot of problems with creasing in the past and this product really absorbs oil and keeps my foundation and/or eyeshadow in place and crease-free.  I don't see any reason to use any high priced primers because this product delivers all that I need.

I love, love, love, this product!  I have tried many different comparable products but keep coming back to this one. There are many different reasons someone may choose to use this type of product.  For me it is twofold.  I have freckles.  And when I was in high school I was very self conscious of them.  I tried anything and everything to hide them.  But I also always hated a lot of thick heavy make-up, so that was never an option for me. I chose light concealers etc. to achieve the look I wanted.  But I never found anything for my eyes (yes, freckles on the eyelids too!).  And then this product.  It acts as a concealer for any imperfections, and makes a nice smooth consistent foundation to then apply your eyeshadow. It is also very helpful in keeping your eye makeup, particularly your eye shadow looking fresh and great all day long. The price is very competitive, and there are always coupons to look out for. Try it and you'll love it!
