I used to be a big customer at LANCOME years ago. The JUICY TUBES were some of the nicest products out there. They moisturized, gave some decent color and had non-offensive flavor/fragrances.
There was a collection out that I LOVED. It was called the POP collection. I totally adored some of the colors in that collection and they sold out very quickly. The colors were perfect for me, and I wanted to get as many as I could before they were gone.
A few months later, I was walking through a CVS store and saw a huge display called POP and Lo and Behold, it was LOREAL COLOUR JUICE with direct copies of the exact same colors of many of those in the LANCOME collection.
I purchased one of each (it was buy one get one free) and was pleasantly surprised that the formula was the same or better in quality for a lot less money. When compared with the LANCOME counterparts- they were identical (the colors that appeared to be the same anyway). Wow, LOREAL COLOUR JUICE was like LANCOME JUICY TUBES in 007 mode!
That is when I began to purchase all kinds of colors of L'OREAL COLOUR JUICE LIP GLOSS and began to enjoy them thoroughly.
WHAT IS COLOUR JUICE LIKE?
The container of COLOUR JUICE is a tube like a tiny toothpaste tube. The tip, unfortunately is not angled like LANCOME JUICY TUBES is. Instead it is rounded tip with a hole in the top, making for difficult application sometimes.
There is 15 ml of product in each tube which is the same as LANCOME JUICY TUBES.
PERFORMANCE
L'OREAL COLOUR JUICE is very emollient, but a tiny bit gummy at times. I find that it does stay on fairly well and is pretty easy to reapply. The tube fits easily in my pocket or purse and makes for a quick way to reapply when I am out shopping or in the yard.
It is not really something that I tend to wear a lot when I am dressed up more, but I do use LOREAL COLOR JUICE over drier lipsticks. It tends to make them last longer and look better too.
Some of the COLOUR JUICES are highly pigmented, and others are very clear. There are some with glitter and some with almost no color or glitter at all. Each one behaves differently and has to be refreshed at different rates.
Over all, however, LOREAL COLOUR JUICE is one of the lipglosses that I wear casually a lot. It is easy to grab, easy to use, and easy to carry around with me.
When they are BUY ONE GET ONE FREE, they are a pretty decent price- around $4.50 each, which is far cheaper than LANCOME JUICY TUBES.
And for the record, I no longer can wear most LANCOME JUICY TUBES due to the new fragrances that make me nauseous and repulse me. Thankfully LOREAL COLOUR JUICE still has the same formula without the new icky fragrances.
