L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation SPF 19 —

Quick View: I didn't like this makeup much. If I am going to use a mineral makeup, I want a pure, all natural one. This has preservatives and fillers in it. Plus it was too powdery for my dry skin.

About Loreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation SPF 19

This makeup is in a round clear plastic tub with a brush attached to the top. It looks kind of strange but I suppose it's a decent idea. I don't use the brush though because it's stiff and short. The makeup is powder and has a traditional sifter. It comes in just a few shades which makes it hard to match my skin tone. One reason I like some mineral makeups is because I can mix the minerals to my exact skin color. I chose Buff Beige because it seemed closest to my skin color and it was a close, but not perfect, match.

Moisturizer before application is a must. I have normal to dry skin and would look like I was wearing a mask if I didn't hydrate my skin well before applying. I swirl my own kabuki brush in the foundation (and I sneeze from it flying all over), then attempt to buff it on my face like I see people on TV doing. I find that it gives me uneven coverage and not enough of it. I may be doing something wrong but I look powdery and matte especially if I use a powder blush after. For me, this didn't work well. It has SPF in it which is a good thing and it is natural although it isn't pure like real mineral makeup. I have since found a couple of mineral makeups that are handmade and 100% pure that work for me. This really didn't.

My Viewpoint

Loreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation SPF 19 is around $13.00-$16.00 for a .35 ounce jar. That is less than many "real" mineral foundations and may work for you. I think those with oily skin will get better results that those of us with dry skin. I give this 2 stars. For me, it was meh...

Good review. I don't think I've read a single positive review of this product at all.
