I had seen the mineral makeups sold on TV and although I would have loved to try them, I simply could not afford it.  I happened to look at cosmetics at Wal-Mart and saw the L'Oreal mineral makeup display.  I decided to compare the different brands that also have mineral foundations and especially... review »

Husband had to hit Wal-Mart for electronics, so I headed to the cosmetic aisle and was knocked over by a massive display for L'Oreal Bare Naturale Mineral Foundation.  $12 a container and a table of samples to find your color.  The Demonstrator was a great lady who knows breaking out from poor makeup is just too common nowadays.  I noticed when I put a brush on the back of my hand how soft it felt and I felt no itch, so I was safe with it.  My face belongs to L'Oreal for ages, the one cosmetic that I never break out from.  Eyes & nails are Cover Girl for their great prices.

So I chose the buff...

I have rather dry skin but can get good results when I apply this mineral foundation a few minutes after applying my moisturizer.  I've stayed away from powder and mineral foundations because of my dry skin but decided to give this one a try as I have liked the L'Oreal makeup products I've used in the past and the price was very reasonable ($12.58 + tax) compared to the brands promoted on tv infomercials.

I haven't tried applying heavily as I prefer light to medium coverage but I definitely could get more coverage if I wanted to.  I've read reviews complaining about the mess but I have found...

As far as colors, texture, etc., I like this product very much. I'm particularly pleased that it's a mineral make-up available at a drugstore for a reasonable price. But I've found the way it's packaged to be so inconvenient that I actually threw it out (hence only 3 stars). You're supposed to shake the powder out into the top, then dip the brush into it to apply. But I've found that it's very difficult to get the right amount of powder - always too much or too little - and I end up making a mess. After a while, it just wasn't worth it to me anymore. The packaging for Neutrogena's "mineral sheers"... review »

L'oreal's mineral makeup was my first introduction into mineral makeup. I didn't want to "splurge" (now looking back, I laugh!) on more pricier and well known products so I gave this a shot. To me, its no different than the other CVS variety powdered make up and didn't give me the results I wanted. The coverage was okay, but didn't last. I didn't like the application brush and found it corse. I've moved on to the higher end of mineral makeup and stand behind those products 100%. I wouldn't recommend this over those, even for the price. For a few extra bucks you can get a lot more!

L'Oreal mineral makeup is the newest and greatest makeup product out there today. There is no way I am going to revert back to liquid foundation and concealer (which helped increase my acne). I love all of the different shades of foundation that are available. There is an easy application process by using the tub of foundation and the perfect brush which comes in the bottle. No more spending money on separate brushes (or worrying about washing them or throwing them away). You get a new brush with each new purchase of makeup and it is the perfect brush specifically intended to use with that product!...

I've been using L'Oreal's Bare Nataurel mineral makeup for about a year now, and I've grown to love it. The packaging is unique because it comes with a built in makeup brush, which is convenient, but it's a little bit bulky. The bristles are a bit stiff, so you don't need to have a heavy hand when you apply it or it will turn out too dark. It comes in a variety of colors, and really looks natural. I like to highlight areas of my face that the sun would hit to give my skin that glowing look. It stays on all day, and doesn't make my skin feel heavy.I would reccomend this product to anyone,... review »

I wanted to try the mineral makeup and saw this version more affordably priced at a local store so I decided to give it a try. I found the results to be just okay. It was lighter than liquid makeup but also did not provide the coverage that liquid makeup does. The brush was also bristly against my face and the application very messy - the powder ended up all over the bathroom counter and on my shirt and you can't just brush it off because it cakes all over. The price is much better than similar products that I have seen but I just was not happy with the results or the mess.

I always wanted to try mineral makeup and finally on a Black Friday I bought the foundation, finish, blush, eye liner, concealer, glow and mascara for $30!!! I used it immediately and was pleased with the whole look. The coverage was great, it looked very natural and you couldn't see where the makeup began and the bare skin continued. Being a powder I thought it would accentuate my pores but it didn't and it was easy to apply, but... unfortunately after a few hours you could see every expression line in my face times 10, plus it'll wear off in the middle of the day and the WORST, water is its archenemy....

Even though L'Oreal is one of the worst companies on the market for animal testing, I sort of wanted to like this product. I'm always looking for cheaper and more convienient alternatives to Bare Minerals makeup, and L'Oreal was probably the first drug store option. It went on beautifully, and I was excited. At the end of the day, however, I caught a glimpse of myself in the rear view mirror and was completely shocked. The makeup had liquified and sort of slid off my nose, leaving it bare, red, and shiney except for a number of dots clustered around the pores. It was freakish and extremely embarrassing--so... review »

I have used Loreal bare naturele make up for about a year now,and have been very happy.I am a make up junkie I love to play with colors and new make up.But I have always had problems with acne, and liquid make up just added onto those problems. When I finally decided to try the make up I saw a friend of mine whose skin looked great! No line or streaks, and I asked her what makeup she was using.Of course it was the Loreal bare naturele. So that same day I went and bought myself one at Walmart(their prices are so great). Then I tried and and was hooked! The texture of the makeup the smoothness of the application...

I love L'Oreal Bare Natural Minerals Makeup.  I sweat even when it is cold outside and this makeup stays on even when I am drenched.  One of the things that I like best is that it doesn't look like you are all caked up with foundation.  Your natural skin still shows through.   I have freckles and love them.  when I use Bare Minerals, my freckles still show, but my skin looks more even than if I was wearing nothing.  I also have very red spots on my cheecks and this makeup helps this blend in with my other skin tones. I also have oily spots around my nose and forehead.  This is also taken...

I never really nticed the fine lines developing around my eyes.  I usually use a liquid tinted consealer with nic results, but wanted to try the new trend of mineral makeup.  Since it was on sale one week, I bought a blusher and mineral foundation.

I first went out to loreal's web site to watch the download video on how to apply the new product and then began my trial.

It sure didn't work like the video...first, you have to have completely dry oil free skin before applying, so orget about applying any moisturizer in the morning. Next, when you plly it in small circles like the website demonstrates,...

I love trying new products and I'm willing to pay for it...to a point. My first experience with L'Oreal was when I was on a weekend trip and forgot my makeup case. I had to hit Walmart and buy all new makeup, but didn't want to spend a fortune since I already had a bunch at home. Well, I ended up with L'Oreal Mineral Makeup and was very pleasently surprised at how well it did. I am used to Bare Essentuals and this is very similar. Actually, I think I like the coverage a little better!! The only thing I'm not so fond of is the brush and the opening to swirl and tap into. It's a bit small. So, I... review »
