LL Cool J's Platinum Workout  —

LL Cool J may have been known for his acting or singing in the past, but once you gaze at his rock-hard abs in his book, The Platinum Workout, you'll remember him for his physique.

Even though LL Cool J may be your idea of eye candy, ladies, the program is really directed toward men. There is a small section in the back of the book about a diamond program for women, but it does not compare to the amount of information in the book geared towards male dieters.

The book isn't as much about dieting as it is about changing your fitness level and getting strong, sleek muscles. After all, it's not like LL was ever obese. He looked fine before. But he took his fitness to a new level and was able to define his muscles and become more physically fit. Now he can show you how to do the same thing.

It is a beautiful, hardcover book with color photos. Each exercise is accompanied by a photo of the activity, some with LL himself, others with a female to demonstrate the move.

The book is written in LL Cool J's tone and style. It's as if he were speaking right to you. It may be bothersome to some readers though because of his laid-back style and use of grammar.

I recommend this book, especially for men who are interested in toning up and trading in their keg for a six pack.
