I bought the LG VU about two weeks after it came out. I thought it was amazing. That first night after I played with it I wanted to take it back. I should have.
The touch screen is pretty sensitive but unless you have a stylis it's not going to hit the buttons you want it to. I was excited about the option for the touch qwerty keyboard. I absolutely never use it because my very petite fingers are two large. It doesn't hit the keys I want and is absolutely worthless. I've reconfigured the touch settings dozens of times and it doesn't ever work. I've ended up using the on screen phone pad with T9.
The internet is okay. However, it's nothing special. You would get the same quality on a much lesser phone. The webpages don't show up with graphics. You can't read the graphics in your web-based e-mails. It's nothing like the iPhone web browsing.
I haven't used the MP3 player because it's Napster based. You can't load anything onto the phone unless you have a Napster subscribption...which is about $20.00 a month.
Talking on the phone is also a nightmare. The phone locks itself and you can't press any buttons (like on phone menus) unless you unlock it first. Which is a bigger pain than you might imagine. Also, you can't hang up unless you unlock it. Also, the ear piece is in such a way that if the phone slips off your ear even a minute bit you can't hear what the other person is saying.
I have been so incredibly disappointed in this phone. I can't wait until January so I can get a new phone with our upgrade option.
