LG - Vu Cell Phone —

The LG Vu is a full featured G3 cell phone.  It is completely touch screen operated.  Some of the features that it has include...QWERTY keyboard, internet enabled, SD memory card slot for saving MP3's, bluetooth, it records sound, pix and flix.  (It does not have a flash for the camera though).  It has Video Share, which allows you to share video with someone while you are talking to them,  but it is only useful if the person you are talking to also has a phone with Video Share.  It recieves Mobile TV. There is one free preview channel called "FLO tv". You have to purchase a monthly subscription to watch the other channels.  I'm with AT&T, and I pay $15.00 a month, and recieve 14 channels. (FLO tv, CBSmobile, FOXmobile, NBC2go, MSNBC, Comedy Central, ESPN, MTV, Nickelodian, CNBC, FNC (FOX News Channel), CNN, PIX (shows full movies), and MASTERS which is a golf channel, but it never has any broadcasts).  It also has MusicID which is another subscription feature. The way MusicID works is...when you hear a song that you like but don't know the title or artist, you can hold your phone up to the speaker. MusicID will "hear" the song and tell you the title/artist. It then gives you the opportunity to purchase and download the song to your phone.  I don't subscribe to this service, so I can't comment on how well it works. MY COMPLAINTS WITH THIS PHONE: (1) You ABSOLUTLY CAN NOT see the screen when your in daylight. Even if you try to shade it with your hand or adjust the screen's brightness...it doesn't help a bit. (2)The QWERTY touch screen keyboard can be SLIGHTLY difficult to use.  It's not too bad if you have somewhat long nails. When I'm at home I type with a stylus pen or dull pencil.  I also keep a toothpick in my phone case to type with when I'm on the go. (3) When Bluetoothing my phone book from my old cell to this one, it reversed the first and last names, which was a pain.  It also sometimes saved a name and number as a "file" and not as a phone book entry. (4) The Screen Lock locks too soon. Especially when your making a call...if you need to press # or enter a number (i.e. "Press 1 for english") you have to hit UNLOCK, then KEYBOARD, then # or the number. And sometimes this takes too long for the automated phone system that your connected to.
