LG Refrigerator Review

We bought a stainless steel side by side refrigerator 2 years ago and it stopped running on us.  Repairman said it was the compressor and the part was under warrenty, but we have to pay $440 for labor.  We paid and the compressor was installed a week later when it came in.  Next day it wasn't working again and they came out and unclogged something in the compressor.  Next day stopped working.  They said it was a bad compressor, but they didn't have any more compressors.  We had to fax information and sales receipt to LG customer service and they would get back to us in 48 hours.  They didn't call us back for 4 business days and when we called the said they showed that they had compressors so they wouldn't replace ours. But the compressors won't be delivered to the US for 11 days.  All they will say is "sorry for your incovenience" but won't do anything.  We tried e-mailing someone higher up, but haven't heard anything back there either.

It is bad that a 2 yr old refrigerator goes out, but the worse thing is that we have to pay to fix it and can't get it taken care of.  We will be without a refrigerator for over 1 month in the middle of July, and their customer service doesn't care to do anything.

Our friends had a 3 yr-old LG side by side that went out on them too.  For them it was the fan and was able to be repaired for a cost.
