Ok...here's my story...we went to the Verizon store to look...idea being we were going to switch providers because we signed up with Cingular 2 years ago and after ATT took over everything got screwed up. The service didn't work during peak times, I would go to pay my bill and it would say no balance due so I would have to call them and spend up to an hour on the phone to get my bill paid...the list goes on. We wanted to get the kids all phones on Verizon as well but they were with us at the store so we just let them walk around and watched what they were doing so we knew what interested them. I only looked at a couple of phones....none of them that were in the price range that I was willing to pay seemed very impressive to me but I didn't have a ton of time to look since I was observing the kids. We came home and decided to place the order online. I read online reviews of the few that interested me and the EnV looked by far the best. When it arrived, I looked at it and said "I'm going to hate this phone!" It looks huge and bulky and the amount of buttons and features is a bit overwhelming considering I was moving to it from a Razr which has very little for features. Keep in mind, I have never had Verizon before so I had to learn about Vcast, Ez Navigator and all of Verizons other offerings...overwhelming. I started to play with the phone....the menus are totally self explanatory....I never even opened the book and was able to navigate through the menus and access all features in about 10 minutes time. The bulkiness still bothered me but after placing several calls, I realized it was actually a lot more comfortable than the razr since it is thick not wide like the Razr which always made my hand hurt since its wider than my palm. The keyboard is great...I find myself texting more because it is less of a pain. I took a few pictures and emailed them to myself which was great and the pictures looked really good compared to other phones I have had. The navigator function is really great....I was going to get a Garmin or something similar in my car because I drive alot throughout Chicagoland which can be hard to navigate in some areas...but I don't need one now. Everything with this phone is great except one thing.....the warning for low battery. I was driving and using the navigator.....all of the sudden the phone just said powering off...no warning, nothing. I had no idea where I was at that momment and hadn't gotten a warning from the phone so I could write down the directions or anything.....that is the reason for 4 stars rather than 5!
