We bought an LDF 7811 ST, it was $1000 and it was horrible from the very beginning. It never really dried well. After 6 months it was no longer washing well either and then we got an error message so we had to call for a repair. The repair guy opened it and said that it would take a month for parts (we hand washed for a month) and they replaced EVERYTHING except the tub! The wire harness had melted into the acoustic material and the repair guy said they had recalled it because of fire issues. Within weeks it was obvious it wasn't ever going to dry well. After another 3 or 4 months, it was so bad...

I purchased LG dishwasher, washer, dryer and refrigerator.  All top of the line SS units.  Trust me on this.......Not so top of the line!  In fact, the cheapest unit I've ever owned worked way better.  I bought these thinking they would look so pretty in my home.  Didn't consider that they might make my house stink.

Buy LG dishwasher if you desire to remove the dishes from the dishwasher and handwash them.  For those that come semi clean, they will need to be dried because even after LG replaced the entire front panel of my dishwasher with a reengineered front, it worked even worse.  The...

LG LDS 5811ST dishwasher I have had nothing but problems with this $900 LG dishwasher. I had a new pump and motor sent as my dishwasher was out of warranty at 2 years. I paid another $100 for labor. Now for 6 months I get more angry every time I wash dishes before I put them in this expensive drainer.

I have an LG dishwasher Model # LDS5811ST. It's a beautiful appliance but, unfortunately, looks aren't everything and believe me - in this instance I paid more and got less. Shortly before the expiration of my manufacturer's warranty, my dishwasher stopped cleaning the dishes. We bought our LG dishwasher after reading Consumer Reports reviews.  Also, we had heard that Maytag's quality is not what it once was.  (We left a Maytag behind in our former home that was 7 years old.  It was noisy, but worked great.)  Our LG  (~$500) IS the quietest dishwasher I've ever heard in at any price point and the dishes, pots and pans do come out clean.  The two drawbacks--much of the load is still wet when the cycle finishes, even if I wait until the next morning to unload, so I'm stuck drying!  The silverware is never dry.  My other complaint applies to most dw on the market...

I bought my LG a year ago and have been dismally dissapointed in it from the very beginning.  It does not clean dishes that I pre-rinse and it leaves a cloudy film on everything.  This was an expensive dishwasher and I expected a quality product.  DON'T BUY THIS BRAND!!!!
