LG dishwasher —

I purchased this machine because it had everything I was looking for in a dishwasher. Looked great, hidden controls, stainless steel tub, quiet, and matched my other appliances. I purchased it 2 years, 1 week ago. The machines motor just burned out - started flashing "LE" code. I spent $900 for this machine thinking I was gettin top of the line - or at the very least close. The warranty expires after 2 years - called LG - thinking they might have mercy on me since it took a month from the time I bought it to get it - nope - 2 years from the date of purchse - period. Then they proceed to tell me I can only get parts from their authorized tech's - nice way to control prices. Long story medium - do your research - pay less and get more with a different brand - LG dishwashers stink. I have found many many thers with the same issues.

Me too! Exactly the same issue (LE error, failed motor). I found the motor/sump assembly online (google: LG Parts) and replaced it myself ($125). No too difficult if you don't mind tearing it out from under the counter (after killing power and water feed). Now I'm reading other reviews with wiring harness issues, etc, so wondering if I shouldn't have replaced the dishwasher now. The thing that really burns me is that they don't stand behind their product. Never had that issue with Sears, GE, Sony and others. Lesson learned for me - never again LG......

Same exact thing happened to me. The repairman said "He stocks" LG dishwasher motors thats how many repair calls he gets, and they're all for burned out motors. Hated the dishwasher from the day I got it. Never washed or dryed good. Constant error messages. A real piece of crap. The price of the motor is about $319.00. I'm going to get rid of it for that price and buy a different brand for less than the price of the motor on this crap!!

Seems about right

I was googling the 'LE' message and found this, we just started getting that yesterday, after 2 yrs 4 months of ownership and tech calls..

Wish he'd said how much the replacement costs, I'd seriously look at a different brand too.
