I bought this washing machine after my old Kenmore one died suddenly. Before I bought one, I did a lot of research and asked others which brand they would recommend. LG was the top pick. I will admit that this machine is expensive. It will run you about $1299 for the white version and $1399 for the...

LG front-loading washers are very attractive and they work very well when they aren't broken.  However, once you get a code that indicates your machine requires service, your nightmare begins.  If your machine is over one year, you will need to argue that certain parts are still covered under a 2-year...

When I initially looked at this washing machine at Best Buy, I was skeptical.  I did not think I would use all of the fancy, high-tech features.  I was fairly certain that I just needed something to wash and dry my clothes efficiently.

Now, after 6 months of using this machine almost every day, I am very grateful to the pushy Best Buy sales guy for talking me into it.  I actually use the advanced features.  I use the steam function to get the wrinkles out of clothes I hang-dry.  I hardly ever have to break out the iron!  I even thrown in dry clean only suits (jackets as well as pants/skirts)...

The shipping bolts are in the back if the washer to keep the drum from moving and if you don't take them out before you run it will ruien you washer. and if you are like my husband who doesn't read directions then you would never know. other than that i love the washer.

This is my first front loader and I am amazed and thrilled by this machine.  It is so quiet that I can leave the laundry room door open now.  When the cycle is over it plays a gentle song instead of buzzing at me in an obnoxious way like my previous machine.

The thing that impresses me the most is how much water is removed from the clothes in the spin cycle.  Much of the time, I hang them to dry and they are dry in less than 20-30 minutes.   That includes my jeans.

I am not a "gadget girl" and in the past have always said, "Just give me an 'on' and an 'off' button, please."  Althought this...

I absolutely love my LG washer. With our first major home appliances purchase I spent weeks researching to find the 'right' one for us.

With the LG washer I find our clothes cleaner then they have ever been. I have saved both money and time with our investment. With only having to use 2TBL of laundry detergent and our energy rebate this washer will pay for itself over time.

I guess the only complaint I would have is that it's kind of noisy so placing it upstairs wouldn't be a wise decision. We on the other hand haven't had a problem.

I'm very happy with my LG washer purchase.

This LG WM2487H washing machine is a pleasure to work with!  Our Kitchen Aid washing machine had broken for the second time (not a brand I'd recommend) so we needed to look for a replacement.  I saw this one in the Wild Cherry color and new it would work great with our newly remodeled guest bathroom/laundry room.  Of course more importantly than the color were the features that it provided.  The most important to us was that it saves on water useage which is important since we have a shallow well on our property.  It is so powerful in ringing out the clothes that they spend much less time...

Love  love love this machine!!!  The first one I've actually bought, even though I'm 51, and I was sooo nervous about making the right decision.  There are so many choices, and since it's a pretty pricey purchase, I really didn't want to make a mistake.  I didn't!!  I throw the clothes in, touch a couple of buttons, and in about 45 minutes my clothes are done.  They are whiter than I thought possible, and so soft!  It's amazing what a difference the machine makes.  The only thing I had to do different was purchase the "he" (high efficiency) laundry soap.  Even though it cost a little more... review »

We had a Maytag and were happy, but when it came time for a new machime we decided to invest in a more high end model. I will never look back. With three boys (9, 5, 3 months), a giant dog, a husband who gets greasy and messy and me who loves to cook and garde, we needed a reliable family machine. There isn't a stain yet that I have not been able to get out of clothes. The smell better, the look better, and with the various options I can do anything.

OK FOLKS --  LISTEN UP !!  I had heard of the smell that develops in this washing machine so set my brain off to solve it.  Simple solution ...  actually I should register this idea as it works AND  costs all of about a dollar to solve.  LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN. Now before you get your "panties in a wad telling me it will get in the way = LISTEN and READ ON.  You purchase a small magnet - with a hook on it - and put it on top of the washng machine.  You take a small bungee cord and attach it to the magnet, with the other end holding the washing machine door open a bit.  WOW -  Simple.  Ya...

This washing machine is incredible. Dryer time is almost unneccesary as Items come out of the wash cycle almost dry when using a spin cycle of med or higher. Cashmere comes out beautifully using the hand wash cycle (no piling or damage, no shrinking). I love the steam cycle and it is perfect for sturdy cashmere items such as overcoats that need "freshing". Tub is large enough for huge loads and king size comforters. My husband is a huge fan of the "sanitize" cycle for whites.

I would just note one item that did require an adjustment on my part: once you select your cycles and press start, the...

The LG front load steam washer. I do not recommned this washer to anyone. Three months after purchase and it won't drain. Today is August 5th and Sears won't send service until August 29th! I selected this washer because I have a large family and work. I am a teacher and the service call is schedule three days after the beginning of school. A month without a washer that I paid bookoo bucks for that is under warrently and not even well broke in since we have been out of town most of the summer. I am so disappointed not only in the LG washer but with Sears service.

I recently purchased this machine.  It does clean better than the traditional top loader that I had for 10+ years.  Only irritating things are: It makes the water pipes in the house vibrate really loud when it is intially filling the machine.  It stops and starts the water several times and it sounds as if the pipes are going to be broken into pieces at any moment.  This is a new house--so it isn't poor construction or an old house etc.  Also, the Sears delivery people installed the machine.  They made certain it was level as I voiced my concern about the vibration when spinning as I had... review »

I really love my new LG Tromm. It washes the clothes really well, uses little to almost no detergent, and spins the clothes quite dry. I only wish that it were a bit speedier for the normal loads. I highly recommend that you purchase this clothes washer if you are looking for a reasonably priced, front-load washer.

You must remember to keep the door open after washing to allow the drum and gasket to dry out. If you don't, you are liable to get a mildewy smell from the machine. Frequent tub cleaning and drying time after use will help to eliminate this problem.

I have this washer and it is great.  I have never had a problem with it.  I have a family of seven and it handles the 2 loads a day I do, everyday.  I can put in a small load or a big load and the water level will adjust automatically.  This is great.  I just use the quick wash and I am able to get the loads done quicker.  I toss the detergent and fabric softenr is a container, press start and off to my other chares.  I have recommenede this washer to several people who have purschased it and they also love it.
