LG Washer - Front Load WM2487H Review

OK FOLKS --  LISTEN UP !!  I had heard of the smell that develops in this washing machine so set my brain off to solve it.  Simple solution ...  actually I should register this idea as it works AND  costs all of about a dollar to solve.  LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN. Now before you get your "panties in a wad telling me it will get in the way = LISTEN and READ ON.  You purchase a small magnet - with a hook on it - and put it on top of the washng machine.  You take a small bungee cord and attach it to the magnet, with the other end holding the washing machine door open a bit.  WOW -  Simple.  Ya know when you had a top loader you probably never closed it (I did not anyway) so it did not get smelly.  Quick and simple ...  and your washing machine BREATHES ....  MMM  Fresh Air ...  and no mildew smell.  TRY IT.  Oh by the way.  use plain white vinegar in place of expensive fabric softners.  It will clean the washer, and remove the soap from clothes.  Do not tell Downey or Bounce ...  but this is cheaper and WORKS also.  You can put a dryer sheet in the dryer if you want the smell.  BY THE WAY ...  I would hate this machine if I did not purchase the DRAWERS.  Saves the back !!  Great storage !!
