I was in need of a new washer and originally planned to buy a Maytag, which was what I owned previously. The LG WM2650RA Front Load Washer was recommended by a store employee. I think he was trying to get his commission, but I gave in and bought it. I had it delivered to my home that day and immediately gave it a test run. This is the best washer I have ever owned. I really underestimated LG. The best part of this washer is the steam setting. I have five kids and they get stains on their clothes constantly. I have tried so many products that claim to remove set in stains, but they never work. The steam in this washer got stains out of my 2 and 4 year-old daughters' clothing that had been there for months. I was amazed. The steam setting is very timely, but the results are worth the wait. The spin cycle works better on this washer than my previous Maytag washer also. It seems to spin the clothes longer, which results in less dryer time. I leave the door open when I'm not using it. If I don't, it will smell like mildew and leave your clothes smelling that way. I have done that with all of my washing machines. I recommend this washer to anyone that is looking for one that gets the job done and costs less than the rest.

My husband and I bought a house a few months ago, and this washer came with it. I had always been used to top loading washers and was excited about having a front loading one. After using this for a couple loads, I was a little disappointed. It just didn't seem to wash my clothes as well. But since then, I've figured out a couple things that have made this washer grow on me. First, it seems to actually do better with a slightly bigger load. The clothes moving against themselves seems to help and the more clothes, as long as it's not overloaded, the more "agitation." Second, using the right detergent is key with this washer. And also making sure to leave the door open when not in use and running a cleaning cycle with bleach every month keeps the washer clean and therefore my clothes clean. Third, I realized how energy and water efficient it was, and it makes me happy to see my savings on my utility bills. I would recommend this washer to anyone who already loves front loading washers or is just willing to give it a try. Energy Efficiency Very efficient with both energy and water. Cleaning Time It does take closer to an hour, where as my top loading washer only took half an hour, but I've come to terms with that. Performance Using the right detergent helps. Ease of Use Very simple to use as long as you can easily bend to get out the clothes. Design I love how it looks! Durability Seems pretty durable, but I have only had it a few months.

This washing machine has been such a blessing. After my 10 yr old top loader broke, I had little time to look for a replacement. My husband is a contractor and my son plays soccer 8 days a week ;), resulting in dirty laundry and a lot of it! I can fit 2X more clothes in this washer than in my old washer. The clothes come out clean and dryer than in my old machine. My dryer likes this a lot! I love the quick wash option- My daughter spilled something on her coat an hour before leaving the house- I was able to run it in the quick wash and dry it before we left. I have not used the steam option yet as it results in a much longer washing time. Love the little song it plays at the end of each cycle. Much more pleasant than my old washer. Very quiet machine. Energy Efficiency Uses only a small fraction of the water my old machine used. Cleaning Time Average loads take approx 55-60 minutes. The quick cycle is 15-20 minutes Performance Clothes come out clean and smell fresh Ease of Use I thought I was missing something- There are many so many buttons and options. The first time I ran the washer, I was surprised at how easy it was to use. Design The cherry red is beautiful - My washer's nickname is Betty ;) Durability So far, so good.
