LG WM2487H Front Load Washer Review Summary

If you wash lots of clothes and don't like to spend a ton of effort pre-treating, then this big LE front load washer will save you time, money, and headaches. There are nine cycles on this washing machine including an allergy cycle, steam cycle and one for hand washables. The washing machine adjusts in terms of the water level, so that's one less thing to worry about if you're a busy person who does not have time to worry about every detail. Reviewers say this washer is a little noisy, but it gets the job done and well. Be sure to remove the back shipping bolts and have the delivery team level this machine.

When I initially looked at this washing machine at Best Buy, I was skeptical.  I did not think I would use all of the fancy, high-tech features.  I was fairly certain that I just needed something to wash and dry my clothes efficiently.  — Now, after 6 months of using this… read full review »

I bought this washing machine after my old Kenmore one died suddenly. Before I bought one, I did a lot of research and asked others which brand they would recommend. LG was the top pick. I will admit that this machine is expensive. It will run you about $1299 for the white version and $1399 for the red version. Wait for it to go on sale. I keep seeing it for 10 to 15% off at several national electronic stores. I love this machine. It has 9 different wash cycles to choose from including a steam cycle, an allergy cycle and one for hand washables. One of the best features is the machine… read full review »

I absolutely love my LG washer. With our first major home appliances purchase I spent weeks researching to find the 'right' one for us. — With the LG washer I find our clothes cleaner then they have ever been. I have saved both money and time with our investment. With only having to use 2TBL of laundry detergent and our energy rebate this washer will pay for itself over time. — I guess the only complaint I would have is that it's kind of noisy so placing it upstairs wouldn't be a wise decision. We on the other hand haven't had a problem. — I'm very happy with… read full review »

The LG I believe is the latest and greatest when it comes to innovative, smart working products.  I absolutely love my washer.  It is so quiet, energy efficient that this gal who hated doing laundry has more darn fun because of this sytem.  I can't believe the ease of use.  It really was my dream purchase last summer. — … read full review »

So I have twin 5 year olds, who sometimes make a mess.  Well, let's be honest... ALWAYS makes a mess!  However, since I got this washer and dryer combo my life has been so much easier.  I no longer worry about the laundry and getting stains out.  This baby does it all for me.  Best purchase I've ever… read full review »

I absolutley Love my washing machine! I used to hate doing laundry until we purchased this washer. I like the sound of the bells as I am turning the dial and it has a pleasant little ding as it finishes a load. It uses hardly any water, but the clothes come out really clean. I love all the features that it has. I can wash a lot of jeans in it which is really great because I have a family of 6! I also can wash a king size comforter in it  & sleeping bags. no more trips to the laundry mat for me. It also has a child proof safety feature so my kids can't push any buttons that I don't want… read full review »

Love  love love this machine!!!  The first one I've actually bought, even though I'm 51, and I was sooo nervous about making the right decision.  There are so many choices, and since it's a pretty pricey purchase, I really didn't want to make a mistake.  I didn't!!  I throw the clothes in, touch a couple of buttons, and in about 45 minutes my clothes are done.  They are whiter than I thought possible, and so soft!  It's amazing what a difference the machine makes.  The only thing I had to do different was purchase the "he" (high efficiency) laundry… read full review »

My husband and I purchased an LG washer almost a year ago.  I am nither happy or dissatisfied with it.  It does the same job as my other washer.  I havent noticed a drop in my water or electric bill.  My clothes are not any cleaner or better taken care of when I had a top load washer.  My only complaints are the price tag and certin types of fabric(mainly thick cotton t-shirts) smell like mildue.  Not sure if this is because of the washer or not.  —  The washer sure looks pretty.  —… read full review »

Thw LG WM2487, unit while not even being reviewed by Consumer Reports is by far the best of the LG line for features vs. price.  The WM2688 has a few more features but the increased price point just isnt worth the $$.  I bought mine 5 months ago and have not had a single complaint.  After leveling the unit there has been no, read NO, shaking, even tho this is on the second floor.  I love my 2487 and wouldnt trade it for any other on the market.  Well mabye the WM2487HWA, but thats it… read full review »

Highly recommend this washer...It cut my water bill in half, it holds more clothing than a top-loading washer and it cuts down on drying time due to the clothes having more water spun out of them.  The only con I see is you need to promptly remove clothing from washer.  Otherwise, you will notice an "unfresh" odor to clothing.  I say that because that is the biggest complaint I have seen about front-loading washers.  Highly recommend it,… read full review »

Recently my husband and I had to purchase a new washing machine.  After having the previous one for 9 years it was definately time for an upgrade.  We searched around, read the reviews, spoke with people who have a front load washing machine and decided this is what we needed.  It is quiet, efficient, and has a delay timer that has already been put to use.  Perfect for those busy days when you have so much to do and not enough time to get it all… read full review »

We had a Maytag and were happy, but when it came time for a new machime we decided to invest in a more high end model. I will never look back. With three boys (9, 5, 3 months), a giant dog, a husband who gets greasy and messy and me who loves to cook and garde, we needed a reliable family machine. There isn't a stain yet that I have not been able to get out of clothes. The smell better, the look better, and with the various options I can do… read full review »

I would not trade my washer for anything. It does a great job. The steam option is great if you need to look your best. It gets out wrinkles fast. It does leave the item damp but I pop it in the dryer for about 5 minutes and it is ready to go.  It uses less water. Our water bill has dropped by a fourth since purchasing our washer. I recommend it to anyone and say it is worth the extra money you pay for the extras that are on the… read full review »
