LG - Voyager Cell Phone —

Like many families, right around Christmas time, my husband and I used our yearly Verizon credit as well as took advantage of the rebate offers to purchase new cell phones.  I was torn between the LG Voyager and the enV2, my husband chose the Voyager and I chose the red enV2, hoping to get the best of both worlds.

Favorite Features of the LG Voyager:

  • two big screens, inner and outer
  • big keyboard for easy texting
  • several sound settings for alarms, messages, text
  • takes good pictures
  • easy to use touch screen that doesn't mess up
  • holds the charge a long time, quickly recharges

Features I Don't Like on the LG Voyager:

  • it doesn't fit easily in a pocket
  • the auto lock system is too fast: can cause problems when making calls that require you to choose a number for functions (e.g. for English press 1)

My Viewpoint:  The LG Voyager Cell Phone is incredibily easy to use. You can easily customize it with whatever internal or external screens you desire as well as have different sound settings for alarms, calls from a special someone or text messages. I have used the VZ Navigator GPS system on it and the big full screen made on screen messages (for GPS and TXT) are easy to read.  I also enjoy that it takes great pictures so if  a special moment appears I don't have to worry about not having my digital camera with me.  My husband prefers the LG Voyager, and varely rarely lets me use it.  Normally it's like with a kid, when I say can I see it, he holds it out and says, "See, you can see it."  Setting his wallpaper meant almost having to wrestle him to the ground (course that was kind of fun too).  For me the best part about this phone is that it is a lot like the Blackberry -- but we don't have to have the Blackberry Internet and Data package if we don't want to saving us money each month on the cell phone service.

Personally, I like my little red LG enV2 phone better, but that's a good thing too, we don't have to fight over them or pick up the wrong phone.

I'm still loving my cell phone but my 2 year contract was up in Oct. so whenever I'm ready for a new one I can get one. I may be considering a Blackberry.

My worry about the Voyager was that it flips (doesn't it??) and I was worried it would snap open. My sister and my husband both broke flip phones that way. The touch screen is funny with kids. I gave it to my nephew to play with a few times and he was calling people in seconds :-D

We went back three times! Couldn't decide between them. I decided against a touch screen because I saw all the trouble that so many of my friends had with them because of sticky toddler fingers. :-D

This was my second choice, I went with the glyde because it was smaller (not to mention cheaper with my 2 for 2 discount). I'm happy with it, it has a lot of the same features it seems.
