Best phone I've personally ever had.

4

I've had my phone for almost 2 in a half years! I've dropped it numerous times, never cracked (not saying it isn't possible) including being dropped in about 5 inches of water! It was dried before reuse. Didn't come back in the greatest condition but it was ok. Battery Life Since the water incident, the battery probably lasts about 3 hours.

Love This Little Guy

Now, this review is coming from a very small handed klutz, so this phone is perfect for me. These new phones recently are getting bigger and bigger, holding my husbands S2 I can't touch the screen from top to bottom with one finger unless I use two hands. I can with the Viper, and that's essential for me, as I have two kids and I can't reply to a text while helping a toddler eat cereal unless I can do it one handed. What other phone would have survived the vicious throw my daughter dealt my Viper from the top of my washing machine to behind my toilet after bouncing off the side of the bowl? The battery life, not the best, but I don't need my phone for 4 solid hours at a time, so that wasn't a downfall for me. I love the camera, snapping clear pictures with the kids is so easy, and they almost always turn out perfect. The thickness of the phone is nice for me, I don't want to feel like I'm simply holding a sheet of glass in my hand, I need some weight in my phone, and the Viper provides there. Sometimes I wish it ran bigger games, vs other phones, it definitely lacks in that area, when you do run bigger games (Sims3FreePlay&AndroidBasedMMOS)they definitely lag. One big downfall, this phone gets hot when you play too long, and everything seems to drain the battery, from Facebook to a 1MB Sudoku App. But, I love that my phone isn't tweaking out after a year of use like my friends' phones. And, while I don't remember the Viper claiming to be scratch resistant, I wear diamond earrings when I talk on the phone, every other touch screen I used had deep scratches to vouch for that, not this one. The only thing about this phone after a year of abuse use that shows any signs of wear is a light ding in the metal on top of the phone, otherwise, fingerprints on my screen are the only thing that would tell you my phone isn't brand new. Holding my phone up to my husband's(who treats his WAYY better) you would never know they were bought on the same day. Battery Life It's not too great, but not bad enough to bother me. :)

Good little phone

I've had this phone for over a year, now, and overall, I'm pretty happy with it. I have dropped it countless times, and it has yet to have anything on it break or have any related problems (although the corners are a bit scuffed, but that doesn't affect the usage, so I don't care). I appreciate that a lot, since I am known to be a little rough on my phones. It gets good reception and is a good size for me, because I don't like huge phones that don't fit well into my pockets (women's pockets are always tiny, for some reason, and big phones cause problems with that. Sometimes I don't want to have to carry my whole purse!). At the same time, it is big enough that using the touchscreen for everything is not frustrating or difficult. My only real complaint is the battery life. It's okay as long as I turn my brightness down as low as it will go and try not to stream too much stuff, but I wish it lasted a lot longer than it does.

I switched phones from a Blackberry to the HTC Evo and I love it. This is my first touch screen phones and I was impressed with the size and quality of the phone. Only negative complaint is the battery life sucks.

Good phone, OK battery... unless you use the hotspot on it.

This phone is a good phone. I was excited to get it mainly because it came with free credit for Google Wallet when purchased from Sprint. The screen is amazing, and the update that just came out on it (as of November 8, 2012) is AMAZING! Great features, beautiful wallpapers pre-installed, it looks stunning now. I gave mine to my husband as I needed a better phone/battery. I used the hotspot almost daily on it, and it ended up killing the battery pretty quickly. I ordered replacements on Amazon and that got me through the day. The phone itself looks sleek and I attribute that to the back case on the phone. The picture here shows it as black, but mine is actually a silver/chrome looking. Looks slick and classy. The picture quality is really great, too. However, the front facing camera lacks - but I think it's the same on most phones. Battery Life As long as you don't overuse the hot spot, you will be fine. Display/Screen Quality It is beautiful, pictures look great too! Durability I've dropped it quite a few times, and amazingly there is little damage. Even after dropping it on cement. Design The silver or chrome back plate is really sharp looking.

Amazing phone for anyone who needs a smartphone!

I have no complaints. The screen is crystal clear, bright and beautiful. The pre-loaded apps are useful. I never have an issue with storage (RAM/ROM). The camera is incredible. I have had it for 4 months now, and it has never frozen up. Battery Life Lasts all day (18+ hours) with minimal usage, lasts 6+ hours with heavy calling/games. Display/Screen Quality Excellent screen quality. Vibrant pictures, fast graphics in games, wonderful overall! Call Quality Speaker and microphone work flawlessly, I have never had a complaint. Ease of Use As long as you are familiar with the Android operating system, you should have no issues. My last phone was Windows based, and this was an easy switch. Durability I have the Ballistic case, since day 1, and have never had an issue. Because of the size of the screen on this phone, I would highly recomend getting a case. Design Fits very comfortably in your hand. Everything is where you would expect it to be.
