The LG Viewty was one of the first touchscreen phones to come out on the Australian market and as a result of this it is lacking some of the speed that the new ones have. It's reaction to opening folders, files, internet, writing messages and using menus is super slow.

What is is not lacking however, is functionality. It records very nice video, takes an almost perfect shot in the right light. The camera has many different settings, so that you can adjust the photo to look the way you want. It also lets you do simple editing on the photos, which can then be sent in mms, email etc. or used as contacts pictures, homescreen etc.

Having the support of external memory is good too, especially when this phone plays video files. I have personally watched movies on my phone while waiting in queues, on a car trip and other tedious times I couldn't do anything else. And although it is a small screen, the entertainment is still there.

When using the speakerphone one needs to be in a quiet area, however on normal the earpiece is loud enough for the room to  hear, with adjustable volume of course.
