Love this phone!!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I love this phone. I have the hot pink color, and my husband has the black color.  The back of the pink is the hard plastic like the rest, but the black's backing is a rubberized plastic, so it grips the slip cover better than mine does.  The charger is good, and we haven't had any problems with that part breaking like past phones we've had. One problem I had with it after I'd had it for about 6 months is the touch screen part went blank, and it wouldn't work.  Another time the phone would just keep turning off by itself in the middle of a call. Our service provider replaced the phone for free each time though. They told us the most common problem with this phone they see is the touch screen going out.  I've had this phone for over a year now, and it's still doing great. I've had no problem with texting or taking pics or videos.

The LG Venus was a great phone that was easy to use and reliable

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The LG venus was a great phone that I absolutely loved. Towards the end of the time I had it it started to have problems because of the touch screen but I think that is because I dropped it a lot. Oops. But any touch screen phone will do that. Other than that it was the perfect balance between touch screen and actual buttons. I miss it because I cant seem to find another phone with a touch screen and the slide out keyboard that isn't the full keyboard which makes the new phones a little more bulky. Today this phone is probably a little bit dated technology wise since it was made quite a few years ago so it wont have a lot of the new features offered today but since it's not technical...

AUGH!! Its a wolf in sheeps clothing

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

This cell phone is soooo anoying! At first it looks so cool and sweet-dont get me wrong, it is! But later on once you regularly use the phone it starts to get wierd, My first phone, got dropped and the touch screen messed up. Then the second time my cell phone "splt in half" The TWO parts of the cell phone that you slide up and down started to come off. The only thing that held it together was a small little (but good) SATA cable.. It is a good phone if you take like really good care of it. And i did and it is just a really, really, junky cell phone. I had to replace it FOUR TIMES and NOW i am on my like FIFTH! It is really crazy, but that goodness that i will soon be available for my BRAND NEW UPGRADE~!! Some body from school is going to buy my old/new (only new because I just got my replacement not even like less than THREE months ago!) I think that the MOTOROLA DROID is a good option for me!! I can't wait!

The LG venus is cheap and breaks VERY easily!

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

I got my LG venus about 2 years ago, and since then i'v needed to get 3 new venus's, all because of the same reason. The front of the phone (the screen) would get a little off track then the whole screen would break apart from the keypad area. my phone still worked after this because it was being held together very losely. but i ended up getting a new venus and the same thing happend! then i got a new one and it happend again! i'm very careful with my cell phones and some how the venus still broke. Don't get me wrong i LOVE the venus but its just getting to expensive,I recomend you do not get this cheap, easily broken cell phone.

Finally found what I was looking for

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I am insanely impressed with this phone.  I originally was looking for a different  phone and was a little against the whole "slide" idea.  I really wanted a bar phone, but I am SO glad that I went this route.  The first time I touched this sexy little piece of machinery on the display panel I knew it had to be mine!!  It has an awesome MP3 player that is as easy to use as iTunes.  It also sports a little video camera that captures 30 seconds of precious life.  My children think this is also very amusing and like to play and send their dad little clips of their day while he is at work.  Of course the ease of the touch screen is added pleasure.  I am thankful to LG for making such a beautiful phone that I can enjoy that is also functional!

The LG Venus is such a sleek and stylish cell phone.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The LG Venus combines a sleek and stylish exterior with up to date technologies. It features a touch screen and a music player. The sliding design keeps the phone slim. A protective leather case comes with the phone and helps keep the LG Venus in good condition. The camera produces good quality photos that can be shared. The phone speaker provides great sound quality. The only drawbacks I have discovered is that I feel I am constantly wiping the screen to clean it of smudges. I wish I knew of a good product to easily keep it clean. Also, the phone vibrates with each command you use on the touch screen. I haven't deteremined if this is a function that can be turned off. I am worried that it might drain the battery power faster, but so far, the battery power has been great. I really am enjoying this phone.

Best phone I've ever owned

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I've used this phone for over a year now and it still performs like a champ. The sleek, touch pad interface provides a great look to that tech savy person looking for funtion and look. The mp3 player is flawless except for the shuffle option which will often play the same songs more than once before it has cycled the whole library. Photos look and print well at the kodak station that you can visit at your local Walmart. The only thing that I dislike about this phone is the 2.5mm headphone jack. Standard is 3.5mm so you have to purchase the headphone adapter if you want to use your own headphones. Other than that the battery life is great and if you talk extra long you can buy a bigger battery.

nice phone but not great.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I got the LG Pink Venus cell phone about a year ago.  My youngest daughter had gotten it about two months prior to me getting one.  I was looking for a fun cell phone to replace my old black boring Samsung cell phone.  I tried her phone for a day and liked it. I don't think I would chose it again if I had that option. After using the phone for a year I have found that it serves the purpose but has some annoying aspects for me. I keep the phone in a case on my belt and when the phone rings and I reach around to remove it, sometimes I accidentally hit a button and some functions occurs when I don't want it to.  I also find that the touch screen is somewhat awkward for me. &...

The LG Venus is the best touch screen phone

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The LG Venus is one of the best touch screen phones I have ever used.  The easy, readable screen is a plus for those of us in the late 40's age bracket.  The applications are so easy to use.  I use my phone alot to play games when I am waiting in line or just waiting.  The amount of memory this phone has and the ability to use a memory card makes the uses for this phone even better.

I have used this as a mp3 player and have many songs on it and it still has alot of memory.

It is also blue-tooth capable and that is an added bonus.  The ability to pair a blue tooth product with it is so easy.  It also has a calendar, a caculator, camera, video recorder and the ability to text message is so easy.

One of the only drawbacks on this phone is that the screen needs to be protected at all times.  It is very easy to scratch the screen and the piece of plastic that wraps around the outside and I have not found anything that actually stays on the screen to keep this from happening.

It's okay

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I had bought the Verizon Venus in December 2008, I thought that it was a really good phone until now. I've probably dropped it maybe 5 times since I've had it, and it randomly shuts off in the middle of phone converstaions or when you are trying to send a picture message, or even a text message. It freezes all the time, and you have to take the battery out of the back and put it back in just to get it to turn on again. When your talking on the phone the volume isn't loud enough to hear the other person, and you can't turn it up any higher. I will admit I love the camera on it. It's like an actual digital camera just without the flash. And the pictures are really clear, and good.

I just can't stand how it randomly shuts off, and freezes all the time. And the people at the verizon store always tell me that it's nothing, although I'm sure it's something wrong with the phone, because phone's aren't supposed to just shut off.

Best phone I ever had

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I just happened to get this phone when my old one broke, and I absolutely loved it.  I had the pink one, which is my favorite color.  The phone front however was covered with silver paint which chipped of completely in the first couple months and revealed the white plastic underneath.  Another problem is that verizon no longer carries this phone so if you want it, you have to special order it. The phone lasted over the two year warranty but towards the end I was having trouble talking to people.  THe phone iteslf however was easy to use.  THe color and graphics were amazing and it felt high tech without being too fancy.  It was small and compact, very easy to carry around.  It fits nicely in your pocket and has everything you need in a phone.  THe camera was good, though it doesnt have flash so you cant take pictures at night.  Overall it was my favorite phone and I'm kind of sad that I no longer have it.

The LG Venus is reliable

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

So after the tragic demise of my Chocolate II, a kind friend of mine offered me his old Venus. I gratefully took it but wasn't really sure if the phone was great cause I found the touch function quite strange. After time and getting used to, the phone was pretty cool and I learned to navigate it well. The battery life was below average but that may have been because the phone was already used for two years so I replaced it with an extended battery which kept it alive for a good one to two days of usage. The extended battery added about a third inch to my phone which I didn't really like but the phone itself with the normal sized battery was quite light and thin. I liked the feel of the back ...

I am very happy with my at&t lg cellphone.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

i have had my at&t LG cellphone for 1 year.  I am very satisfied with the service, the price and the salesman at my local at&t store.  also i have the insurance and have not had to use it yet, but they say they are very easy to deal with.  I actually use the camera many times over and over again.   also i have used the video camera on it also and i am very happy with the way it works.  I send a lot of pictures and videos to my family and friends, who also have att phones and are very happy with them.  I have used other cell phone companies and have not been as happy with them as i have been with att.  they were to expensive for the same thing i was getting ...

LG DARE - I dared and I loved

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I love the LG dare! It's the best cell phone I've ever had. It's software is easy to learn and the design is incredible. I love verizon wireless, for the most part. Their selection of phones is kind of limited ... but the LG DARE is definitely a good looking phone as well as one that works!!! (Both are important to me!)

This phone has suffered through water damage, and it's still kicking (7 months after the water damage.)

When I go to get a new phone...I'll be getting the LG DARE again! Verizon Wireless has excellent service as well, I always have service when I'm on the RedLine, traveling, etc..

I have owned this phone for about 3 months and love it!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This phone is wonderful.  I have been using it for a few months now and just love it.  It is so easy for texting compared to some of the older phones I have used.  Very good sound qaulity as well.  I have even dropped the phone a few times and it still works like a charm.
