Ok, so after my T-Mobile five year painful marriage; I switched to Verizon and got the LG Chocolate Blue Ice and let me tell this phone is fabulous!

I really like the phone, the features are the bomb! The screen is great and all the free ringers really add personality.

Do yourself a favor and check this...

I had the Lg chocolate maroon color for a little over a year and let me tell you it was not what I expected.  The first month I had it well it was new and I was getting use to it but after that it was not what I needed it for.  The phone was acting up and it was not good for test messaging.  If you...

Verizon Account

This phone is super cool, great features, and easy to create your own ringtones instead of having to buy them from verizon HOWEVER, the super sensitivity  makes this phone lose ALL appeal.  While creating a text message, if your finger ever slightly hits the end of the touchpad, you lose your entire message lickity spilt.  Phone often unlocks easily and calls people without your knowledge.  Also, the vibrating feature for the touch pad drains the battery extremely quickly.  Toss in a number of text messages and you're lucky not to have to charge the phone twice a day.  Great...

I have owned this phone for about 2 months and I absolutely LOVE it!  The music feature is my favorite part.  You can download your OWN songs, as long as they're not protected, and create playlists.  You can also buy a memory card if you want to store more songs to listen to.  The only downfall is that if you listen to songs a lot you will have to charge the battery a lot sooner than most phones.  I love its sleek design.  It's easy to slide open and you can change the sensitivity of the touch dial to your preference.  The camera mirror feature is great, too.

I have never used...

The LG-VX8550 Chocolate phone was the first 'trendy' phone I ever purchased so there was alot I wanted it to live up too....and it did! The camera is great, very clear photos, plenty of options to set for your personal preference. The graphics are amazing, and there are tons of cool features to mess around with within the phone. It comes in a few really neat colors to purchase, I have the one in the picture. Overall the phone is fairly easy to use....although it does take a little getting used to the touch screen. You may need to lower the sensitivity level. Occasionaaly your face may brush against... read full review »

I've had the LG - VX8550 for six months and enjoy the phone immensely. The sound quality's great for both music and calls, the slider means the compact phone fits easily in my pocket, and it gets great reception compared to other Verizon phones I've been around with this unit.

I've got two complaints with this unit. First up, and this is a biggie, is that the phone can really lag sometimes when buttons are pressed. I'm talking along the lines of 5 seconds to pull a menu up if I haven't used the phone in a day.

Complaint number two is that, at first, the touch buttons were a little too touchy, as...

I have the newer chocolate and i think it is aweful i have had to get it replaced three times already and im heading to get it replaced for the fourth time.  First the back light wouldnt work at all they said it was faulty, next phone the touch buttons didnt work never responded to touch or anything after about two weeks of having it, third phone full power and phone would power off randomly started after about a month.  I dont know what to do with the newest one it is not holding a charge and when it says it is fully charged it dies an hour later im thinking it is the battery this time.  Also... read full review »

I've only had 4 or 5 cell phones, but this one is definately my least favorite. My biggest problem with the Chocolate is that it shuts itself off. Not when it's rolling around in my purse ( that I could understand ), just sitting on my desk. A co-workers Chocolate does the same thing. Also, the buttons are extremely sensitive, so you really have to punch in very slowly and carefully. Such a pain in the butt for texting. I was also hit with some "megabyte" charges which my provider refused to credit to my account. Apparently, while the phone was in my purse, it bumped in to something and I believe... read full review »

This review is for the LG Blue Mint Chocolate cell phone.

The number one thing that I do not like about this phone is that when talking in a car, it sounds like you are in a wind tunnel. There seems to be a lot of background noise.

I also find that the phone is "very touchy". For instance, my husband found that he was connected to the internet (even though we don't use this feature) because the phone was touched the right way while in his pocket.

As far as looks, the phone looks great. It holds up well. I was in a motor vehicle accident where the phone hit the windshield and bounced to the back...

This phone is not designed for the every day texter! The letters are too small.

The over all appearance is great but the lighted touch buttons around the dial are a bit confusing. They tend to turn on if you touch your cheek to them while in a conversation. Muting your caller or trying to search for contacts, etc.. while you are talking.

Camera takes good pictures. However the view screen is tiny and settings are slightly confusing. Graphics are also very tiny.

Gaming is also a problem due to the tiny numeric key pad.

Could use a better antenna system as my husband has a little cheap LG phone (on the...

I have had the chocolate for about 4 months now and I like the phone but I do have some issues with it. I love that it doubles as an mp3 player and the sound is great. I hate that it chips so easily, it is so incredibly sensative, and it is a bit akward to control. I find it to be a very sleek and cool looking phone I just wish that it wasn't so sensative. I hate being on the phone and all the sudden my ear bumps the touch sensative buttons. It gets extremely frustrating in the middle of a call!! The newer version of the chocolate is a flip phone and I thinks it's over all design is better. I like... read full review »

I enjoy the Chocolate even though I have to replace it twice. I now have the newer version. Verizon taded my old version twice and finally just gave me the new one. I didn't have to wait to sign a new contract which was really good.

MP3 player is good but you have to buy an extra memory chip tp hold a decent amount of music. I have the 1 GB chip and it covers what I need for short trips.

One downside is that the screen scratches very easily. I cringe everytime I drop my phone because I fear that I have put another scratch in it.

It's a good slider phone, easy to keep clean, and not too steep of...

The LG Chocolate is a great phone, but it does take some getting used to.  This is a simple phone with a very good instruction manual (but who reads those, right?)  When first using this phone, it seems way too sensitive with it touchscreen, all the menus and even the mobile web.  During the first month, I truly wanted to send it back,  After the second, really began to utilize all the features, from the camera to the multiple alarms.  After a year, I would buy it again.  If you want a phone that has a great design, will not be dialed accidentally, and one that has many perks, this is the... read full review »

I got my VX8550 after getting the original Chocolate and absolutely HATING IT!!!! This phone is small and sleek. I have the blue and it also comes in black and red. The speaker phone is loud, the keys are easy to text on and the phone book is easy to access. The camera is also nice for a phone. I haven't had any problems with the connection since I switched to Verizon either. I guess you can put music on it, but I haven't. I've only heard it play my ring tone, which sounds great to me! The battery lasts a while and I like that you can lock it -- it locks automatically but its very easy to unlock... read full review »

I really like this phone and love the fact that it has expandable memory.  It is sleek and stylish.  It has a decent camera, good size buttons for texting, and definitely has a loud enough ringer.  The only down side to this phone is that the buttons are so sensitive that you can push them with your cheek while talking on the phone.  I have also had trouble making over the phone payments.  When you push the buttons to punch in account numbers it starts bringing up the speed dial directory and mute options.

The Lg Chocolate is a great phone for looks. It is cute. Also it is very strong. I have dropped mine on many occasions and you can hardly tell. However, if you are a person who enjoys the pleasures of texting and talking on the phone for an hour at a time, this phone is not for you. The phone is very hard to hold up to your face. Texting is a challenge because of how small the keys are. By the end of a sentence my thumbs are cramping. This cell phone has its ups and its downs. But for me the downs outweigh the ups.
