Stop yelling I CAN hear you

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

This is one phone that I did not have to keep saying "WHAT".  The clearity of it is so good I sometimes have to turn the volumn down.  Can't even begin to tell you how many times I have droped this phone and not just a few feet off the ground.  I was on the second floor balcony and set it on the railing and OOPS I knocked it off.  I thought for sure it would not work.  When I got down to get it, it landed on grass, but not only did it fall that far it was laying in water.  I took my hair dryer to it thinking there is no way this is going to help it, but 15 minutes of blow drying it I turned on and it's like I never droped 2 stories in water.

durable and reliable

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I got this phone about 3 years ago as part of a promotion that verizon wireless was running, it ended up costing me nothing (except for the tax of course). I also got one for my wife, and she likes it a lot. The phone battery has just started to seem to wear out a little, but for the most part the battery life lasts for at least two to three days without a recharge, and what I also like is that you can charge it while it is still on, which makes it a lot easier to hear phone calls and the alarm while it is charging. The voice quality is just about as good as any other phone that we have used in the past. The camera feature is fairly basic, and it isn't a real smooth picture when you move the phone around trying to take a picture. The available options are decent and sufficient. Overall this phone if an incredible deal for the promotion that I got. Next I will be upgrading to the next good deal that verizon has to offer, lets just hope the phone will be as reliable as this one.

Awesome for push 2 talk users

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

i own two gzones. they are rugged and the range for the push to talk is awesome. i can be in one state and my spouse can be in another state and omg we were able to talk through the push-2-talk option.  The volume capibility is great and sound is crisp. When I reieved the phones it came with two batteries , one so you can charge on dec or in car and the other one is thin...have not tried that one as of yet. I have dropped my a couple of times and the ruggedness does hold up like it states in the guide. the applications are easy to use and simple to follow. the only draw back is the texting portion is hard does not have a qwerty keyboard so it takes longer to get through some apps as needed. The company should make a similiar gzone with a qwerty keyboard.

the over all rating is 4 as there are some things like i mentioned before that could help the gzone out. the push two talk is an awesome feature and glad i have the chance to own two of them.

not for everyone

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I bought the LG vx8100 phone about a year ago and the only way to get music and customizable ringtones are to download them through Verizon; or to buy a data cable and hack the internal memory with PC apps, which takes a bit of work. As for Bluetooth, this feature is a joke. While you're able to connect to headsets, and even other phones, you are unable to transfer files wirelessly between them. This phone is Vcast enabled which is very cool, but also completely useless in 2 situations: if 1) you don't subscribe to Vcast, or 2) you are in a remote area with only extended coverage (roaming). The phone has some quirks like voice command and audio recorder, but most newer phones do, to...

This phone takes amazing pictures!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

My husband bought be this phone about three months ago and I absolutely love it!  It is so cool looking.  It is a slide phone and feels good to hold to the ear.  I love that it does not have static when we are by a radio or tv and it begins to ring.  It is very user friendly, especially for someone like me.  It is more difficult for my four-year old to use, however I do not mind that.  The pictures and video that it takes are amazing and great resolution.  It has a lot of memory space, which was important to me, because of all of the pictures I take with my phone.  I also text a lot.  It holds over 22 texts before I have to delete or clean up my messages.  It is a really good product.  I renewed my contract with my phone company so I received this phone free, but originally it is a great price for this particular phone.  I use it all the time!  I would absolutely recommend this phone to a friend.

Easily the best flip phone

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Before making the difficult decision on my first phone in 2005, I searched long and hard on the internet. It brought me to this conclusion: the LG VX8100. When I went to pick up the phone, I noticed that all the employees had this phone as well. Always a good sign.

By today's mark, yes, the phone is outdated. So if you are looking to browse the web or demand a QWERTY keyboard, then this isn't for you. However, if you want a functional yet still fun phone that doesn't require internet, this is absolutely the way to go.

First off, I'll address this point: In the four years of owning it, I have never mysteriously lost a call, message, or voicemail. Older phones do tend to do this. Friends and...

Trusty and reliable, easy Bluetooth connections

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I had this phone a while ago, it was reliable. It stood up to more than a little abuse, dropped (more than once), "dampened" by accident but kept on working. It was a little hard to see the read out with out my glasses and the speaker phone was hard to activate and hear.

Bluetooth to the 2005 Prius was easy. It was small and lightweight.

Great phone with camera and Mp3 player!!!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I just switched from this phone because I had a credit towards a new phone....but I love the VX8100.  Not only is it a great phone but it takes good pictures and has a nice Mp3 player too.  Obviously, the camera is not comparable to an 8MP digital camera, but for a 1.3MP cell phone camera, the pictures were impressive.  The video option is good too....only I wish it would take videos longer than 15 seconds.  There is a slot for a mini-SD card to upgrade your memory....works well if you're going to take lots of pictures or want to transfer some music to your phone.  The Mp3 player works well...there are play buttons on the front of the phone so you can listen to music w/o opening your phone...however, these can get accidentally pressed if the phone is in your pocket or purse....don't freak out if you start hearing music coming from your pants pocket!  The dual speakers are excellent for music...they play loud and clear!

Great phone - but battery life is poor

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

This has been a great phone that I have owned for over 2 years. I have zero complaints except for the battery life. The battery life starts out great but then quickly declines to the point where a 15 minute phone call will drain half of your power.

Everything else is perfect - great design, easy to use, compact, good screen resolution.

Great multimedia phone

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

When I first got the phone I didnt realize it had the capacity to do so many different tasks. It takes better pictures than some higher-resolution cameras. The video works well too, the only drawback is that you're limited to only 15 seconds of it. It has internet capability, and also plays mp3s. You can add reminders in the calendar, even two years or more into the future! And I love the voice command which I can use with my hands free headset. Great value.

Most of the time works, like any other cell phone. It's nice.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

It's handy, small and it works. If you are a person who is into fads and big things, this cell phone is not for you. This phone is for those who are simple and just need something to let them call. Not to go on the internet or play MP3's or have a huge keyboard for the obssesive texting person. This cell is for the person who wants a cell phone for what it was made for...to call someone.

no drops, no outzones, always on dependable

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

the best service and phone .. even better than tmobile , sprint, and verizon all of which I have had in this area. Virgin covers and does NOT drop calls any where in this area. I haven't ever lost service for hours at a time due to TOWER problems like I did with Verizon and Sprint.
