First, I would not recommend the LG front loading electric dryer. It has both pros and cons, but it seems that the cons win out. If I do not keep the door open at all times when the dryer is not in use, I run the risk of a stinky smell building up inside my dryer. To me, it smells like mild ammonia. Weird. Someone was afraid it would cause clothes I'd dry in there to pick up the smell. I'm not sure about that part. The drying time is inconsistent. Usually, an hour of drying works. But there are occasional times that I have to run the dryer for about two hours to dry my clothes. Weird again. Something cool about the dryer is that there is a custom program button. I customize all the settings (heat level, length of drying time, buzzer volume, etc), and it saves it for me to recall with just the push of a single button (after I push the power button on). Also, there is a big storage drawer underneath the dryer. It's handy, but I'd rather the dryer just be shorter. Finally, the dryer does look cool. :)

This dryer is a good size and the options for drying are great. When I first bought it the drying time was great. Now it doesn't seem to be working as well. I am not sure why. I have cleaned the lint trap but that doesn't seem to fix it. Overall it is fine but I am sure it could be better.

I have owned this LG steam washer/dryer set for 5 years now and while I think it's a little overpriced, it's a great system. The washer is very functional and does a great job! We have a large family and it handles a large volume of laundry and is easy on all fabrics. For the dryer, well I have read the previous reviews, but I have to agree with all of them. While I have not had anything break or needed service, we have had the non-drying of cloths issue. The issue that I have found - this dryer unit is VERY sensitive to the condition of your dryer vent duct. It has to absolutely free and clear. Once I snaked out cleaned the vent system, our dryer worked fantastic. When it wasn't perfectly clean, it took 2 to 4 attempts to dry cloths. Keep the vent clear, and you'll have no problems with drying. Overall, a very attractive and functional system.

I don't understand the negative comments. 4 hours to dry jeans?? Come on. We bought both washer and dryer in 2008 and have not had one issue and no service calls. We wash big loads of towels on the sanitation cycle and then dry on high. Does an amazing job! The best appliance I've ever bought...seriously...don't listen to the negative comments.

We purchased our LG Tromm dryer at the same time we purchased our LG Tromm SteamWasher which was right after had our second baby girl in August of 2007. And although I gave the LG Tromm SteamWasher five stars...I'm giving the LG Tromm Dryer only three stars. I really wish I could give it more...but the number one complaint that I have about the LG Tromm Dryer is that it takes FOREVER to get the clothes dried completely. I usually set the control on "normal" dry which is about a forty-one minute dry cycle and I ALWAYS have to set the control to dry for an additional 20 minutes or or so. Also, If you leave the clothes sitting in the dryer for a long period of time after it has stopped drying...it is almost as if the clothes become damp again...then causing me to have to run the dry cylcle an additional 20 minutes. Because of this reason I would say it's not all that energy efficient because it uses a LOT of energy.

I like my dryer very much however its my washer that I am sometimes not happy with. I was never told it needed to sit on a concrete floor. Our laundry room in on the first floor incorperated into one of the bathrooms and if that sucker's legs aren't 100% level the washer door squeaks like mad when the clothes inside get tosses off level.The dryer does a good job at getting even my bulky comforters dry.

We purchased both the LG TROMM washer and dryer about 4 years ago and have not been sorry! It was quite an investment, but has been worth every penny. This is such a nice dryer. It is huge, so it can handle big loads, even comforters! I love that it's quiet, efficient, and has some really nice features like a drying rack that can be placed in the actual drum for sweaters that can be dried on low. I used to have to take my comforters to the laundromat because they would not fit in my washer and dryer but that is not a problem at all with the LG TROMM and it has a high enough drying setting that they comforter is never damp when I pull it out. This is a great dryer...worth the price in my opinion.

When we first started looking for a dryer, we looked at this, but it was very expensive, but after finding this for a good pirce at home depot, we were beyond happy. This dryer has many functions, including steam options and allergy options. The steam function leaved clothes looking like they were fresh iron pressed, and over all the cycle does not take long to complete so we do not waste money on electricity. This dryer also has a separate bottom drawer which can be purchased, which is great for storing extra dryer sheets. It is very quiet, and you cannot tell it is on,and even has a timer to set the exact beep time. Over all we are very happy with this buy, and it has a great warrenty, so we hope it will last us a long time.

My wife and I bought both the LG Tromm washer and dryer set, along with the bottom drawers over four years ago. It was a fairly big investment in that time. We did a lot of research and looking around but continued to come back to really wanting the LG Tromm. We found a sale and some other perks so decided to invest in the set. We have not been disappointed. I like all the drying options, especially the bulky load mode which is really good with towels, comforters, and blankets. I love the way these products look as much as how they work. We picked the red color even though the set is in our basement and not seen often, it still looks really nice. The dryer is very quiet and dries clothes very efficiently and quickly. I really like the damp dry option as well. There really is not any negative attributes to this dryer. I am really satisfied with our purchase and would recommend this dryer, and the washer for that matter.

I am so glad I bought this dryer. I have had it for two years now and I absolutely love it! Not only is it beautiful to look at, but it can hold a week's worth of towels and wash cloths with room to spare. I have had no problems whatsoever with this dryer. It does not overdry my clothes as my old dryer did, which helps keep my clothes looking and fitting like new. With the help of the matching LG front load washer, which spins almost all the water out, it dries in a fraction of the time of my old dryer. The nice, musical dings that signal the cycle is complete are much easier on the ears than the loud buzzer of my previous dryer. It also has plenty of cycle options for all kinds of fabrics. I purchased the matching pedestal with the drawer, which has tons of storage and makes filling the dryer a breeze.....No more bending over to fill or empty! Overall, I would definitely recommend this dryer to a friend!
