I've collected laundry appliances since I was ten and prefer front loaders. Anyone here come lining about mold/mildew never fully read the directions. YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THE WASHER DOOR ON A N Y FRONT LOADING WASHER OPEN TO ELIMINATE THAT FROM OCCURRING. THERE IS A MAGNET TO LEAVE THE DOOR SLIGHTLY OPEN ON EVERY LG F L WASHER. O.K. enough of that. Consumer Reports rates them highly with the fewest repairs of ANY OTHER BRAND. and I can see why. It's the only direct drive washer I ve ever had that not only spins really fast but does it in either direction depending on the balance of the loads. Quiet, huge tub, dependable, stylish, and great results. I open the dispenser drawer and leave the loading door ajar, wipe down the rubber boot AND clean the "button catcher" at the little door at the left bottom of the washer. Not cleaning it out monthly will damage the pump and smell horribly. Once a month, I pour Spray Nine,a great disinfectant, and set the sanitize cycle. It thoroughly cleans the entire interior and leaves a fresh, clean aroma. Thank you LG !!!!
