When you've raised three daughters across three plus decades you gain a lot of experience in parent/child politics. At the moment, I'm way ahead in the Boca Raton Caucus.
My tool for topping the polls? Simple, the LG - Strawberry Chocolate. Yup nothing to it!
For the last few months our soon to be 11 year-old daughter has been campaigning for a cell phone of her own. Initially, both the lovely Veronica and I were lukewarm on the idea. Does a 10 year-old really need a cell phone?
But, after many months of pondering we decided that yeah, in this day and age in the sometimes bizarre world that is South Florida, yes she does. Of course, we didn't let on to the little princess that we were on board, so when she would ask "Dad-uh, when do you think I might be able to have my own phone? all I would commit to was, "before you go away to camp next summer".
But as the holidays were approaching and with all the specials Verizon was running, I knew that the time was right. And, when I saw the pinkness of the LG - Strawberry Chocolate, its very cool form and the yet cooler deal being offered by Verizon, I really knew the time was right.
LG - Strawberry Chocolate
A slider style phone with a brilliant display (visible even in sunlight), in the Strawberry pink color it really catches your eye. Looking at it straight on it has an Apple iPod look to it right down to the scroll "wheel". But, in the case of the LG VX8500, it's not really a wheel, but an ultra-fast touch pad. (The updated version of the Chocolate does indeed have an iPod-like wheel.) To the nimble fingers of the young Princess Jenna, it seems to matter not at all.
