I got a great deal on this frig ($1500) at a home depot clearance center so I didn't read any reviews until after I got it home. I was very concerned about the negative reviews mostly relating to the ice maker and customer service of LG. I'm pleased to say it has worked perfectly for me so far. I love... review »

I just had the 3rd service call in seven months. I have been waiting for parts since 6-09. The company seems unresponsive at times. The repairman said the company makes excuses and denies any real responsibility. Don't talk to them about a lemon because they don't accept that. I have one other LG appliance...

This is not our exact model number; but it looks very similar to this one. Technically the fridge does what it says it will. However, it has serious design flaws. We have water in the door, which most visitors can't figure out how to use. (you have to push UP with your glass on a non-visible button) Even when you know what you are supposed to do - it takes several tries to hit the button. The Ice Cube maker drives us batty. It is a drawer in the freezer. We figured no problem bending over to get our cubes, since you can easily reach in and pull the drawer out. In actuality, what happens... review »

we have had our refridgerator a little over a year, right from the beginning we had problems with the fresh vegetable bin freezing produce, was advised by customer service to increase temp. inside, that helped a little but problem still occurs, then the icemaker went out and of course it's out of warranty,so my wife called LG and raised holy hec and they agreed to fix the icemaker at no charge even though it was out of warranty. we started to by the front load washer and dryer set but heard negative reviews about them so we went with whirlpool an american company and we love them......I think in... review »

We bough an LG bottom freezer refrigerator 1 year and 3 months ago. Right after the first year, the freezer rail broke of course the 1 year warranty did not cover. It cost us $300.00 to fix it. The vegetable and deli drawer's material craks. Also the ice maker works poorly, very small and takes a lot of hours  to make it again. just not worth the price tag.

The two door top part is wonderful if you need to store large food trays.  The freezer on the bottom is like a chest freezer, if you put a lot of things in it, you have to take everything out to find what you put in the bottom.

My friend bought this fridge and there is no room for anything... You cant even put box pizzas in the freezer... I like that there is two doors for the fridge and the freezer in on the bottom. I like that the water is in the door but i dont like that the ice isnt.. It is nice if you dont want alot of food but me and my friend like alot of food.. we like to save for the winter..  Nothing really fits.. I like the look of the mirrors on the doors and that they are smuge proof for adults but they arnt smuge proof for kids... They get finger prints everywhere on that fridge...

This is a very poorly designed refrigerator.First the energy consumption was wrongly stated and then they had to modify by replacing the PC board.

Then the 2 doors have the lateral seal instead of the convential face seal. The sealing peels off easily making the refrigerator run harder.

The door alarm does not stay permenantly.

Too many problems in a such a expensive refrigerator.

I wish I had stayed with whirlpool.

LG Refrigerator  - Several cracks on the top of the freezer door, plastic door handle brackets cracked three times, face plate on the water dispenser cracked, ice maker over flows and service knew of no adjustment, screws missing from shelf brackets.  All this and I am a household of one! LG replaced my fridge and the same thing is happening in less than a year - and they wouldn't extend the warranty to the new unit.

When our white gas stove stopped working we decided to replace it with a stainless steel gas stove, which then in turn we decided well it wouldn't look right unless we replaced the microwave/hood vent to match, and then it was well we need to replace the dishwasher to match and then well lets look at fridges, we can put the old fridge in the garage for sodas and such.  I feel in love with the french door look, figuring it would be easier to put a costco cake in and such.  Plus I loved the freezer in the bottom instead of on top where, short little me can't see whats in it or a side by side where...

Love this item.  The bottom freezer is a must.  The features in the front door panel are wonderful.  I love the water filter replacement reminder.

The only issue that we have had is that the rollers on the bins break very easily.
