I love this washer with the exception of the same problem most front loaders have...the door seal odor. However if you are diligent about cleaning it then it's fine. I like the front of the machine controls. It is very quiet during operation and cleans clothes nicely. Energy Efficiency We have noticed lower electric bills since purchasing this machine. Cleaning Time Regular cycles do take a bit longer than your average top loader but there is a "speed" cycle which is 30 mins. You can also do just a rinse cycle or just a spin cycle if needed. Performance This machine is very quiet and cleans very well. Ease of Use You can't make it easier than pushing "play" to start a washer, or simply turning a knob that lights up when on the cycle you want. My preteen children have no problem operating this washer. Design We love the sleek design and the fact that the controls are on the front so we can build a shelf across the top of the washer/dryer. Durability This machine is very durable and we have had no problems.

Its not a bad machine for the price but I would reconsider if you have very dirty wash from a farm or trade. Energy Efficiency I usually use both the high soil and extra rinse to get cloths clean. Normal settings use less energy but not good results. Cleaning Time This machine routinely takes over an hour to wash. Performance I have pretty routine dirty cloths. My teenager plays soccer and my husband was a middle school math teacher until his recent retirement and I routinely set this washer for high soil and extra rinse to get clothes clean. I also always add borax with my detergent. I can not imagine what a blue collar family would do to get cloths clean. Ease of Use It has very sensitive sensors. I get an error code about every two months. I then have to look up the error code in the manual and fix the problem. So far they have all been self service things, off balance,door not tight enough, screen or drain filter clogged. Not hard fixes but it usually takes more time to look up the coda than fix the problem. Design A little hard reaching in to get the last small items out. It is rather low which suits me as I am only 5'3". If I were tall it might be a problem. Durability So far no problems.

LOVE this washing machine! Energy Efficiency Ever since we have purchased this machine, I have hardly noticed our energy bill price go up. I do a lot of laundry for a family of 5 and use this 2 times a day. Very energy efficient. Cleaning Time I'd like to see maybe a little quicker, but a load usually takes about 55 minutes to wash. There is an option for a 15 minute speed wash but with children who have dirty clothing, I usually wouldn't choose that option. Performance Cleans wonderfully! Dirty, greasy clothing comes totally clean with this washer. Ease of Use Many options to choose from on this washing machine but pretty easy to figure out. Design My only problem with how it is designed is a little seal/lip inside of the machine that seems to trap the dirt and grime and is very hard to keep clean. I have to clean the inner lip seal with a q-tip and even then, it doesn't get every spot. After awhile it will start to stink and could even mold. Even when running a cleaning product in the machine, it doesn't seem to take care of the grime build up very well.

This washer is the best I have ever owned. I was amazed on how the clothes come out. During the spin cycle it spins so fast your clothes come out almost dry. You use very little soap and very little water. I was amazed. It is energy efficient. I have the larger drum so I can do larger blankets. No more going to the dry cleaners or laundry mat. It has several different settings. It takes about 45 mins to 50 mins for a large load. The seal on the door is great. Not like some washers that the soap and water settles there and then you have mold. This one is great. Never had a problem It has a drawer on the bottom to store your soap or fabric sheets. It also has a little compartment on the bottom to catch anything small like coins left in pockets. I talked my daughter into getting one when she needed a washer and she bought the same one. She loves it. I bought the pedistal for it so I would not have to bend. Worked out great. I would recommend the Lg to anyone. Energy Efficiency It is high energy efficient. Cleaning Time For a large load it would take about 45-50 mins. to wash. Performance Clothes come out almost dry. Less time in the dryer. Ease of Use It is very easy to use. Design The design is very nice. All the buttons are on the front of the machine. Durability Its has a stainless steel inside. When it spins , it spins so fast you would not believe. You can wash your blankets or rugs in it.

We were in need of a new washing machine in a hurry. We also didn't want to spend too much and ended up with this washing machine. I wasn't expecting a whole lot out of it, but to my surprise it's a really nice washing machine. It took me a little while to get use to the buttons and everything. Once you get use to it, it's nothing! It has many different options to choose from. You can even choose how fast you want it to spin your clothes. The compartment for laundry detergent has different sections for softner, bleach, and detergent so you can put them in all at once instead of coming back to it later. There is also a volume control on it for when you clothes are done you can choose to have it loud or not so loud. There is even an option for how soiled/dirty your clothes are. My only complaint about this is hair does get stuck under the glass part of the door which can be a pain to clean out, but other than that this is a great washing machine.

This is a wonderful machine. Cleans very well and uses very little water. The only complaint that I would have is that you must towel dry the water out of the gasket and leave the door open to let it air dry after each use or it will smell like mildew the next time you open the door. My solution is run an empty load with a cup of bleach through it about once a month. The Afresh tablets are good, but expensive. Bleach works just as well.

Our L G front load washer has been in service for 11 months.In this amount of time we have had a serviceman out 5 or 6 times.I am guessing every crontrol component has failed once and some twice. Our serviceman told us that we should contact LG about having the machine replaced which we did,I cant describe our disgust and anger with LG's customer service.We were accused of lying about the problems we have had getting our machine serviced and keeping it operating and told that in 1 month when our warranty is up we will have to pay for the constant repair,they refuse to replace it.WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Although we havent given up yet I fear that this will become a legal matter before it is resolved.I would discourage anyone from purchasing a LG product due to the poor reliability,warranty and total lack of customer service.I know I never will I can only hope this review can help someone else and find it's way to LG's top management.

I am a mother of two boys. Therefore, it follows necessarily that my washing machine is very very important to me. When my old washer developed a mortal leak, I went to the appliance department of a local warehouse store where I dutifully looked at replacement top-load washers, only occasionally allowing my gaze to slide sideways lustfully towards the pricier front-load models. But, to my amazement, I found that this LG Front Loader was very affordable, especially after factoring in the (sizeable) rebate offered by my local energy and water departments. And I was enthusiastic about the claims of higher efficiency, better cleaning, and increased convenience of front load washers. Immediately after this model was delivered to me, I presented this washer with its first challenge. Admittedly, it was a tough one: it is baseball season, and I had my son's baseball pants, caked with mud and grass stains. I nonchalantly threw them into the shiny drum, added the soap to the virgin dispenser, and pushed the space age buttons. The machine whirred and clicked to life (much more quietly that its predecessor, I might add...). An hour later, I was greeted by a miracle. Pristine, nearly white baseball pants, no stain remover required. I have been delighted continually by this machine ever since. Now for the specifics: this model is not the largest offered by LG. While it says it accommodates a king sized comforter with ease, I find it does so just barely. Still, it fits far more than most conventional top-loaders, and does a far better job cleaning. Our water and electricity bills have been noticeably impacted; I am doing many fewer loads of laundry per week. There are multiple cycles and settings, which will allow you to treat pretty much any fabric the way you want to. The controls do feel a bit delicate, and I'm hoping the electronics will stand the test of time. The drum and door do remain very damp after each cycle, so I try to leave the door open when the machine is not in use, to avoid the problems of odor or mildew that people have occasionally complained of with top loading machines. I also wipe it down after each use, a process which only takes seconds, and is recommended in the manual. Overall, I am thrilled with this purchase, and recommend it to anyone, even those who think they can't afford a front loader. Comparison shop and check your local rebate programs, and you might just be surprised...

I had some challenge learning the digital way of using the washer. Energy Efficiency This washer takes less energy than our previous washer and has helped lower our water bill. Cleaning Time This washer takes longer to do a load than our previous top-load washer. Performance Additional water needs to be added at the beginning to ensure that the clothes get clean. Ease of Use At first I felt overwhelmed by all the digital input and had some challenge understanding the instructions. Design It's easy to load and unload with the storage bottom raising it up to a level where I don't have to bend. Durability We've had this washer for a year now and it seems to be durable.

Needed to replace our old one rather suddenly and did not want to spend a lot. Even though this was not expensive it has WAY more than I expected. It has tons of extras, like add water or extra rinse cycle. I love the fact that it chimes when it's done. This option can be volume adjusted or turned completely off. Even at its loudest however, it's not too loud. There are separate compartments for detergent, softener and bleach so you can add them all at the beginning and not have to return to check it. The washer also determines the time it takes to wash clothes at the start of a cycle based on water temperature, how much of a load, etc. Some people complain it takes longer than top loaders for instance, but it seems to only be about a 20 minute difference. Since it uses MUCH less water, I can deal with the extra time. The spin cycle is definitely efficient at getting water out. If you are washing delicates or towels, etc you can adjust how fast it spins as well. All front loaders have a risk of mildew, smell because of the air tight seal that is created when the door closes. I have purchased the washing machine cleaner but I just leave the door open when not using it and have no problem. This machine also has a way to close the door just enough to keep them from happening but not have the door wide open. I have absolutely no complaints at all!!
