As much as I liked a similar GE Profle model with LED lights, I couldn't justify spending $800 to buy LED lights (the primary if not the only distinction between this model and the GE). I specifically wanted this model because it does not have the door ice/water dispenser, which seems to be especially prone to freezing and other issues across all brands of French Door/Bottom Freezer fridges on the market.

This fridge is huge, as others have stated, both inside and outside. I bought it knowing it would never fit where the old fridge was--eventually, we will build a kitchen around this fridge. For now, it is great to have digital temperature controls, a very large freezer space, and, as someone who is very tall, it is great to be able to see inside the fridge without bending over.

The door pockets are very deep--enough so to hold a gallon of milk in either the left or the right door. The shelves slide out. There's 4 vegetable drawers and the fridge came with a "bonus plastic shoe box" as an extra crisper/box thingy. The compressor noise is very minimal--most of the time, the fridge is virtually silent.

Another reviewer mentioned the door alarm--yes, it's loud, but it doesn't come on until the doors have been for a few minutes--more than enough time to get jobs done. And from thereon, it seems to beep 3 times and then stay silent for 60 seconds. I think that's reasonable. The door alarm is important because these French Door fridges can appear to be closed but actually be open. That is a flaw across brands and seems intrinsic to keeping the gap between the doors sealed vs. visibility of the gap--so the door alarm serves an important purpose.
We've had this over a month and love it. The only complaints are that the finish marks easily (greasy fingers) and the lights are hot to the touch. But it looks sharp, keeps food cold, and has lots of space. We should have known it was not a good purchase when the first unit was delivered with a broken ice maker. That unit was replaced and we have had nothing but trouble ever since. When we called LG the first time, there was no one in our area to service the unit, so we had to wait until they found someone that could/would service it. Then we waited for them to show up and when the service guy got here, and figured out the problem, he could not fix it because LG does not allow them to keep parts on the truck, the part was ordered then ANOTHER day was taken off of work to wait for the repair man. When he replaced the compressor, the one that was sent was faulty and it had to be replaced again, again we had to wait for the part to come in. We have gone through this provess 4 times. The freezer will not freeze things, the refrigerator does that. We have lost lots of food and time from work to wait for the repairman. I will never buy another LG product again. The quality AND service are deplorable.

Looks nice but ... a carton of milk on the top shelf and a 2L coke on the door had chunks of ice within a day. I raised the temp setting to 39, then 40 degrees and waited 48 hours, same problem. I called LG Customer Service, I was told that was to be expected since cold air vents were located in those places. Their solution is to put my milk on a lower shelf. I called back and talked to a different rep, identical response. Neither rep would connect me to a supervisor. Although the 2nd rep did offer to schedule a service call, it would be at my expense since they consider that to be normal.

LG customer service was so bad. I felt like their purpose was not to help, but rather to get me off the phone. Both reps gave such similar responses, it seemed as if they were reading from a script.

I finally did got the refrigerator repaired, but only after I filed a dispute with my credit card company. At this price point, it shouldn't be this frustrating to get service. This is probably my favorite refrigerator I have owned and is exactly what I needed. I have had no problems so far but then again I have only had it for about six months but so far so good. If something does happen I will update this review. I do not recommend buying this online since you need to see for yourself if its for you. I bought the black version at Best Buy and it was about one hundred dollars cheaper as well which is nice. All your controls for the freezer and refrigerator temperature are on the front between the two doors almost in the middle. The child locks are a very nice feature to have as well since my kids can't seem to leave the attractive blue numbers on it alone. I like that feature as well being able to see the current temperature and if the freezer door is open too long and the temperature begins to drop you hear a tiny warning beep. I don't use the ice maker so I can't really comment on that. The vegetable crisper in the bottom of it is nice as well and we have had our produce last longer now than with our older model. It has knobs on the crisper's to allow how much air flow to allow but whether it actually does anything too special is not really known.

When I first got the refrigerator I noticed what it lacks in the depth of it, it makes up for in the width. I did notice everything is kind of a tight fit if I have too much but you can always store milk and juice and all that on the door shelves since there is room for it. So far though this refrigerator has plenty of space for what I need.

My couple gripes is with the black model finger prints show up really bad since it uses a shiny black and everything shows up. The freezer is kind of a tight fit and its not really as big as I like. There are two shelves in the freezer and since I have two kids sometimes the amount of food I can keep in the freezer becomes a problem. Than again a great way to fix that is just not spend so much but its easier to get what I need from grocery shopping in one trip.

Make sure you get the measurements since from what I have heard from people who sale refrigerators is a lot of people picks them out and wind up not having the space for it. This refrigerator pretty much fit the space I had perfectly in width, length and depth.
