after using a Motorola Razor for three years, my husband and I decided to buy the LG glimmer. The touchscreen was new to us, and at first exciting. But after using this phone for less than a year, I have found that the touch screen gets less sensitive as time goes on. It is hard to scroll on the touchscreen as it just bounces around to whatever message it wants to. Also, after writing a text and then pressing 'send' after not getting a reply I will look at my phone and see my message still sitting there waiting to be sent. So frustrating! And that happens often! We did get a new phone after we had to send my husbands phone in for a problem with the recharger function. They sent out a new phone, which is the one I am using now, the one with touchscreen problems. Also, I don't like that there is nowhere on the phone to attach the stylus. I guess you would just carry this loose in your pocket when you are out? Who knows, I left mine in the box. I don't have a problem with LG brand in general, but when my contract is up and I qualify for another free or cheap phone, I might go back to the Razor!

One of the best cell phones i have used. The touch screen is awesome! Very easy to use and has a great menu system. The camera takes really nice photos and the flash is great for low light situations. The music player is my favorite feature. Songs sound so great on this phones mp3 player! The screen is bright and full of life. The video player is also great and the images pop right off the screen. The cell phone has a very high quality feel. It is made of metal which makes the phone a little more heavy than others, but this really gives it a nice steady feel in your hand. Call quality is excellent. Had no dropped calls using it with US Cellular. The sliding mechanism is spring loaded and it is really fun to open the phone. The numeric keyboard is a nice touch for those that don't fully want to go full touch screen yet, like myself. All in all a great phone from LG and I really advise you to look into this phone if you ready to upgrade.

I'm sorry to say that MY LG touchscreen phone is the worst one made by LG. It is not very durable. Usually LG is great but not  in this case. This phone has alot of options that I dont use. I wish I would have gotten something else. this phone is good for someone who is easy on phones. I cant get my speakerphone to work half the time. the camera is ok tho. trying to go through your contact list is a joke too. The best way to find a certain contact is to type the beginning of their name in the space. I am very sorry for writing a bad review but I just wanted to let everyone know what I think of this phone. the touch screen wears out very quickly. I have insurance on it but they dont make this phone anymore, from what I have heard. I dont need to go through an act of Congress to get another phone. As soon as my contract is up, i will more than likely be switching phone companies. there are other companies out there who have alot better rates.

I purchased this phone out of the limited touch screen choices Alltel offers.  As a phone, it functions great.  Great quality.  No issues.  The touch screen works great as well.  However, it doesn't offer the features of the other touch screen phones.  The touch screen seems to be more of a feature than a functionality.  It also has a regular keypad, which I use more.  I don't think I would buy it or recommend it to anyone looking for touch technology, but as a phone it is excellent.

My husbad and I both purchased the LGUX830 (Glimmer) from U.S. Cellular about 3 months ago. In the time I have not had any problems out of my phone, however, my husband has. A month after recieving the phone he could no longer download his picture messages that he was recieving and cannot access easyedge what-so-ever. The phone is great other than that one problem. It has great camera options and has a wonderful speakerphone. It doesn't have as great of service as other LG's I have seen (Roaming wise) but that is not a problem. The touch screen is very easy to use and I love having the option to use the touch screen or to slide it up and use a reagular number pad. This option really comes in handy. It also records fantastic videos.

I really love my Alltel Glimmer phone.  It has wonderful service and not once have I lost a call, unless ya know it was the other persons fault.  I love the touch screen, it has a very easy menu that allows you to get to where you need to.  The camera is almost like a realy digital camera, at this point, I use it to take all of my family photots.  I give the Alltel Glimmer a  A++
