Lg Tromm WM2277HS washer

Replaced part several times, the door error is an issue with no repair. An 800 washer, after two years of use with many problems, at least give a solution.

This washer/dryer was the best one that I ever owned.

I've owned my washer and dryer for about 7-8 years and we have never had a problem. I just bought the newest model to replace them. I've seen reviews that refer to mold. The key to keeping mold out is adequate venting after using your washing machine. The new model has a magnetic plunger that holds the door open about an inch. This allows air to circulate through the machine. Cleaning Time The only issue with cleaning was that I had to remove the water disperser that is above the detergent drawer. This is accessed by removing the top. Kind of a pain due mine being stacked on top of each other.

This LG front loader gets the job done quick!

We bought this washer 5 years ago and really like it a lot.  This was our first experience with a front loader and were amazed by the huge loads it can handle.  It uses very little detergent - the recommendation is no more than 2 Tablespoons per load of an HE or low-sudsing detergent.  Our clothes always seem to wash evenly and well and we are amazed at how dry they spin out.  I do believe that it also uses much less water than a conventional top loading washer.  The size is one of the definate pluses - no more trips to the laundry mat for big, bulky items like our king-sized comforter.  And of course, it is gentler on clothes and delicates because there is no wringer action.  The only thing that we don't like is that if you want to add something to the load there is only a VERY FEW minutes at the beginning of the wash cycle that you can "pause" and it unlocks for you to add an item.  We have only had one issue that needed repair and that was a clogged or kinked hose for the fabric softner dispensing.  We bought this at best buy and bought the 5 year warranty and felt like that was a good thing to do because any repairs were then covered.  Also, you need to leave the door open while not in use or the machine will smell and mold since front loader retain a bit of water.  This annoys me a lot but doesn't annoy my wife.  It might be a big problem depending on where your laundry machines are located.

The LG washer is really great at getting your clothes clean.

The LG washer is really great at getting your clothes clean and I love that it determines by itself how much water is needed for each load. No more setting the water level too high or too low. The dispenser is great as you can put your soap, bleaches, and softeners all in one sectional compartment and they go in automatically at the correct time. So you can set it and forget it. Also has great door locking feature so it can not be accidentally opened during the cycle or buttons pushed by curious little fingers so there is no possibility of dangerous disasters or messy mistakes. The only complaint I have is that the spin cycle is so powerful that it can shake the machine right out of its place in the washroom. But making sure your floor is very level, that the levels on the machine are propperly aligned and turning down the level of spin cycle fixes this problem instantly. It has many great features and it can wash from heavy duty comforters to your light delicate handwashables and they come out as good as professionals.

My LG front loading washer cleans a big load well.

I really like my LG front loading washing machine. It is easy to use and works great. It uses much less water than conventional washers and also so much less detergent. My clothes dont' take a beating while they're washed like they did when I had a washer with an agitator. I can also wash much bigger loads, even of heavy stuff like jeans and towels. I wash all our blankets and comforters as well as sleeping bags. There is only one drawback that I hadn't considered when buying a front loading machine and that is being able to soak clothing for an extended period of time. There is no way to fill the tub with water and clothes and just let it sit over night to treat stained/dingy clothing. I don't need this function all the time, but it would be nice to have it. Over all though, I am very pleased with this LG washer.

LG-Life is not good

1

We purchased top of the line LG appliances,(washer/dryer) 5 years ago and wish we hadn't. Last year the dryer went and had to be completely re-built,(motor,timer and wire harness). This year the washer has started to make terrible noises,(sounds like the transmission). The main problem I have with LG is that you can't call your local appliance guy. You have to go through LG to have your appliances repaired. Even if you are qualified yourself...you can't buy the parts. That's like buying a Chevrolet and finding out that you have to have your vehicle repaired at a GM dealer for the rest of it's life and you can't repair it yourself because they won't sell you the parts. We will never buy another LG product and I advise everyone to check out how and who can repair your product.

Horrible Washer...What a waste of money!

1

When I was shopping for a washer/dryer, I was sold on the promise that this machine would clean my clothes much better than a traditional top-loader.  However, not only do my clothes/towels have a moldy smell after washed, but the washer itself ALWAYS has a strong mildewy smell (even after using HE tub cleaners).  I found out later that you are not supposed to close the door on this front-loader (are you kidding??).  Horrible design on this machine!  Will never by LG again!!

great time saver

The LG washer is one of the best investments I have made.  I have washed 19 large towels in one load.  washing does take longer than a regular washer but you are washing at least 2 loads at once.  Spins very dry.  sometimes it is loud when it starts to spin but it settles out.  i love mine.

This washer rocks

This washer not only washes your clothes better, it waves water and time.  You can wash two loads in this washer compared to a regular one.  I love all the features and settings that this washer has to offer.  There is a deep clean cycle along with a gentle cycle and permanent press to boot.  This washer washes clothes differently than a traditional washer and your clothes do not sit in a tub of dirty water like traditional washers.  It is amazing and your clothes are fresha nd clean.  I love this washer.

WHAT A GREAT INVESTMENT

**LG WM2277H Stainless Steel Front Load Washer** :  Well, ours is not stainless, but its a Midnight Blue.  Nevertheless, it was one of the best investements we made.  It saves on water, is good for your clothes, and spins better than the ride at the fair!! HA!  The spinning action gets so much water out of your clothes, it cuts down on drying time.  The matching dryer is great too.  This washer.....................is WONDERFUL!!  Even having to use the HE detergent (which you dont need much) one bottle lasts us over a month.  And I wash at least twice a week for three people.
