Purchases the LG Fridge, Microwave and Range.  All Stainless, all in a lot of money for us.   We purchased the extended warranty which is a MUST if you by LG from our experience.  Our Fridge was so bad the board had to be replaced twice and various other parts.  After much disatsifaction and documentation (document everything!!! and keep repair receipts, LG to their credit did finally send us a new fridge and took the original LEMON away.  However, they did not reimburse us for any of the food that we lossed nor did they pay for the three weeks of ICE that I had to pay to keep the food as cold as possible in coolers in our kitchen.  We got sucked in to the "Life's Good" marketing, let me tell you.  Our experience with LG has been horrific and I would not recomend their kitchen appliances to anyone.   By the way our dishwasher is having it's THIRD Service call this week, LG's response is well you will have to work with the extended warranty company were polite but not helpful or caring of customer's purchase of their defective products in our case.

I am writing a review on an LG Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator.  We purchased this refrigerator in 10/2007 at Home Depot with our American Express Card.  It functions pretty well.  One day I discovered a lot of cool air by the unit near the floor.  I realized it was not closing very well.  We called a technician out and they replaced the gasket.  It was over a year so parts were covered but labor was not.  We did use our American Express card which gave us an additional year of warranty so we paid nothing for the repair.  We have not had any more problems with that since.  Our repair guy said to put vaseline on the seal to make it work better.  We have not done that yet.  One complaint I do have is for the water and ice dispenser.  It is stainless steel and has so many scratches on it from the glasses, cups, etc.  It's a poor choice of material for that area.  It is a high "traffic" area so it should be made of something that is durable.  Overall, it does what it needs to do but I would have bought something else considering the expensive price tag.
