good phone

3

good phone, but a little bit on the slow side. the kp500 is great for the now current price, if you are looking for a simple, stylish, sleek looking touch screen phone, and don't want to get an iphone or something like that. the look is cool, user interface is alright. the only problem with this phone, besides not having a wifi connecton is the response time for the touch screen. the touch screen tends to lag a whole lot and can be very difficult to use if you have big fingers. i have had this phone for little over a year, and i have been wanting to switch it to a different one. also, for a many times the phone has just restarted it self whether it is during a call or a text or looking at some of the media stored on it.

The **LG KP500 Cell Phone** or other wise know as the "cookie phone" lacks a lot of ... everything! This phone was really a let down after my old chocolate phone (which was worse!). The features include a fairly moderate touchscreen, a very sleek and smooth design, a rubber/plastic like feel. 3 pushable buttons. A 3.0 megapixel camera. A touchscreen stick (such as the Nitendo DS)And the basic features of any ordinary cellphone.  **The Pros:** This phone is pretty reliable. It has good speakers, a sturdy design, very light, and a decent touchscreen. Thats pretty much it for the pros! **The Cons:** The touchscreen is really bad. I have an ipod touch and it does not even compare with an ipod touch! The touchscreen is really hard to use, it like having a button on the screen. The touchscreen scratches a lot, (mine scratched today). There is not enough memory!!! I can't even take a lot of pictures because the memory is so bad. The camera is not as good as expected. It has a very reflective screen which is almost impossible to look at in direct sunlight, the battery runs out pretty quickly, and the touchscreen is very hard to use. For example, when I call at "home" in the contacts list, it can sometimes call someone who is on top of the "home" number, such as my friend. This gets really annoying and have to call the bottom number to call the top number.  **Overview:** This phone is my second worst phone I had. It has horrible touchscreen, battery die fast, and overall, I do not recommend this phone to anyone.

Meh it's alright

This phone is really meh,  I've had this phone for almost a year now and all i can say is that it's not really as great as other people might say it is.  At first glance yeah it's really awesome because it's a touch screen (ooooooo touch screen, wow..)  but it's not a good touch screen at all.  It's all sensed by pressure, one time i left an hour long voice mail to a buddy of mine because i guess it pressed a bunch of buttons while i was on a bumpy car ride.  This phone is also really slow, so if you're typing something and you type really fast it won't respond to everything you just typed because of its slowness.  The good things about this phone is that you can get free games and wallpapers over at the forums for this phone if you have a memory card or whatever they call it.  this phone also has a radio in it and you can draw pictures on it.  speaking of pictures, this phone takes them pretty well in well lit settings.

LG KP500 Cookie is nothing special for a touchscreen

3

I have had the LG KP500 since for about a year and half and while it does have some cool features, it is not worth it when you compare it to the alternatives out there for touchscreen. The scroll bar is way too skinny to be able to accurately control it with your fingers and using the guide pin can become a hassle if used over and over. The touchscreen is also pretty slow in reaction time. The phone does have decent features like a timer, photo gallery, internet capabilities(although its not good), a decent camera, voice recorder and fm radio. An issue with listening to radio is that the headset that comes with the phone is very low quality and the buds are HORRIBLE at staying in your ear. The games that come with the phone are pretty boring and useless. For your money and the recent trend in phones, it would be wise to stay away from this phone and just get a standard blackberry or an older version of the iPhone unlocked since they have more features and are more fun to navigate through.

Overrated!

I've had this phone for a little over a year and I finally decided to retire it a few days ago.  I'll begin by saying that I received this as a gift from a friend, after she decided she didn't like this phone either.  That should have been a warning sign. This phone is a pretty cute phone, I'll admit.  The compact size is great and it fits perfectly in my jean pocket, which I prefer.  The price point is also very good considering how much touch screen phones are these days.  I also like the silicon feeling "case" that protects the back of the phone.  That has saved my phone from damage after times when I dropped it on the ground. Onto the bad news... while I like the size, the touch screen on this phone isn't great.  The scroll bar is extremely small and makes it very difficult to scroll up and down without scroll too far.  And only after a year, the touch screen decided to stop working on my phone, leaving me the only choice to get a new phone.

A cheaper version of the iphone

This phone is good for someone who wants the touchscreen features but doesnt want to pay the high price for an i phone. This phone is cute hence its name, the LG Cookie. It comes in a variety of colors such as pink black red and white. The entire screeen is touch, you can either use your finger or the stylus that comes with it that conveniently slides in or out from the bottom of the phone. The texting is good, it offers t9 style or you can write with the stylus, when the phone is on its side it becomes a full keyboard. It does have one glitch though sometimes when your texting it will delete the word you just wrote- kind of annoying but you get used to it. It comes with a usb cord so that you can transfer pictures or music from your computer onto your phone. This is especially convenient because you can set any song as your ringtone- never pay for ringtones again. The screen locks so that you dont make any calls in your pocket. All in all this is a pretty good phone- not the best but not the worst either.
